My new to me .25 barrel
All I can say is Holy Shit!!!! My TSS is no longer neighbor friendly. I went from a 12in .22 with an Subsonic LDC to this 24in .25 Walt in HI barrel I got from Synopsys. Man is it loud!!!!!
Wouldn’t you know right after I swapped barrels, here comes a Raccoon strolling across the yard, I took a shot but never had time to adjust my scope. and it is way off from where my other barrel shot to.

I was shooting them between 980fps and 1020fps in just under 1″ to 1.5″ groups at 50 yards with the Condor valve…
It was the only 25 cal pellet I shot through the barrel… I have heard mixed reviews on that pellet though, mostly on the not so accurate side of things. But for me those were my best 50 yard groups out of the two 24″ barrels I used (25 & 17 cal).
You may want to find a lighter 25 cal pellet if your pushing them with the Talon valve. I believe those are 31.5 grains and you can get 25.4 grainers..
I had to set my Talon valve tophat gap at 0.110 to get them to go between 760 & 800 fps (powerwheel at nut=12 wheel=6). Didn’t do any groups with the Talon valve setup just about 20 shots through the chrony.
This was also with the new style Talon valve which has the slotted brass collar and was underpowered compared to my Talon valve with the round holes in the brass collar….
It (slotted brass collar valve) typically shot 300 fps under the round holed Talon valve at the same tophat and power wheel settings using the 24″ 17cal barrel…
Which Talon valve do you have?
Did you have to do some surgery to get the stack of pellet tins out of the cardboard tube? 😆 Be sure to keep the pvc tube and end caps, makes a perfect storage container for AF barrels. 😉
You did an incredible job of packing it and I will definitely keep the PVC tube you packed it in.
That thing Barks like a Dog!!! I think my .22 rifle with shorts is quieter. Did you have good luck with those Pellets? Did you ever try anything else in there?
