Q:

My rubber mulch pellet trap

So dan and i made pellet traps today total cost per trap $12
Rubber Mulch $7
5gal Bucket with lid 4
Plastic Clip $1
Cardboard free
Took 10 minutes to make

Step 1- Get your supplys

Step 2 -Trace your bucket onto your cardboard

Step 3 – Cut your cardboard to fit into your bucket

Step 4 – Fill bucket with rubber mulch

Step 5 – Cover rubber mulch in bucket with the cardboard you cut

Step 6 – Cut hole out of the bucket lid about the size of your targets you plan to use

Step 7 – Drill hole in the clip and bucket lid and use nut and bolt to bolt it together

Step 8 – Clip target to trap and have fun shooting :4:

And the only thing Dan did was write his name on the lid lol

But he did take all the pictures

Woo-Hoo! I love lead. (As long as it is out going rather than incoming!) 😯

Yes BogM. The very little left on the lead just burns off during the fluxing. 😉

Sorry knife I didn’t see the lead question yes the lead is yours

Shooting a plastic lid is much louder than shooting cardboard

Wouldn’t want to scare the reptiles! A need of cardboard gives me a reason to order pizza.

quote knifemaker:

and will let you save all the lead for ME!!! :8:

Knife, do the bits of rubber just burn off; does the mulch affect “castability”? Or do those boolits bounce off targets? 😛

What we really need is a good .25 cal mold for slugs (.251,.252).

It worked awesomely! Who needs a spare room, just keep it as a range 😛

Shooting a plastic lid is much louder than shooting cardboard that is the only reason I did that and cardboard is free no mater where you live go behind any store and look in the recycling bin lol

Yep, That will Work! 😉

Why di dyou go to all the truble to cut a hole in the lid? Yes, they get shot up, but at a buck a-piece, that’s just fine with me! Sure makes for some quiet shooting, and will let you save all the lead for ME!!! :8:
