My sight in results..
New talon ss 12oz co2 cp pellets
My shots were fired using a milling machine vise mounted to a steel work table..no movement at all..
My first 3 shots were at 20 yards, all 3 less than a 3/4″ group
next 3 at 30 yards, no difference no drop
40 yards 4 inch drop 2 inch group
then I shot at 10 yards, 3 shots one ragged hole, 1 inch low..
on a side note I fired some crow mag’s at 30 yards..wow..probably a 4 inch group..one actually hit the target sideways, like it was tumbling..
are these results normal?better? or worse than average? thanks!!

The 13ci and 22ci are closest in size to the talon tanks. the 13 will be a little shorter OAL and the 22 will be a little longer. Aside from shot count, Look at which will fit your body size better for shooting comfort.
Which one of the jsd tanks would you suggest? I tried calling him but could get him. thanks!
I’m guessing the regulated tanks give you the same full power shot each time?
The scope on the Airforce rifles sits 3.5″ above the barrel, because of this, I suggest you get an airforce laser so you can have 10 yard zero, if you need that. Otherwise you will miss a lot of close in shots low. Or you could get a mil dot scope.
Co2 is fine in cold weather, as long as you are shooting in an indoor heated space, hahahhah. I shoot CO2 all winter long indoors.

If you are not ready to spring for a pump or fill setup they work with the CO2 adapter you already have and can be filled at any paintball shop.
A call to JoeB can set you up with a complete fill setup w/ cf tank, just make sure you have a shop nearby that can fill to 4500psi. much lighter and more portable than a scuba tank and many more fills.
Well that sucks a big one..I thought before I ordered the co2 I had read and pretty much heard everything there was to know about these guns and propellants..Now I’m going to have to get the air tank..since pyrmarid has already got me once, would you mind posting a link to what I need to get. tank, filler lines etc.. I’ll buy the scuba tank at the dive shop.. thanks!!
That’ll do it. Co2 is pretty much useless below 50 deg for any kind of range. Might consider a JDS regulated tank for winter time shooting in that climate. Not the velocity most of the hpa shooters were hoping for, but comparable to co2 on a 70-80 degree day and seen some pretty good results posted for consistency.
It was about 38-40 degrees when I did the shooting..I could actually see the pellets in my scope hitting the target..thanks!!
You didn’t mention temperature but seeing 4″ change in poi from 30-40 yds I’d say the Co2 isn’t up to the task right now, too cold maybe. If the cps you are shooting are from the tins, the accuracy is probably about right; if they are the good boxed ones I would expect better. Might want to try a different pellet to back up those results. Keep em in the midweight range similar to the cp, the Kodiacs will probably be too heavy to perform well at the current co2 velocity.
