You will never have a preset number for the Power Wheel. πŸ˜₯

As King put up the innovative way of finding the right setting
without a chrony.

I would strongly suggest you buy a chrony…It will make your life
a lot-lot-lot easier. πŸ™‚

Watch out you don’t knock the chrony out before getting your readings
The C-T-C from scope to barrel would be roughly. about 3″…So watch out 😯

Small Tip :- How to prevent wasting excess air.
This is my personal experience and may vary
for person to person’s judgment.

Lets say you did King’s test and and are very close to finnalizing your
Power Wheel numbers. Assuming you are doing this test from a rifle rest .
Watch out for the air the talon spits behind the pellet. If you see a large gush
and lets say your number on the Main of the Power wheel is 4 and the sub is 16.
(To see the gush don’t shoulder mount your gun, just point to some place safe and shoot)
Then reduce the sub number to 12 and fire once again…..if its still not come down.
further reduce sub to 8 and now lets say you find it it to be less. The re-do the wood test
as written by King and if the penetration is what you had started with. Then you are very close to what you would have achieved with a chrony.

I have used the above method for both my Talon/Condor and with great results.

You will also have tips from our learned folks on this forum…
Happy safe shooting……

With no chrono you can do this. It is old school

Get a 2×4 and put it 15-20 yards away. Get some pellets and and fill your talon tank to 2800psi.

Put your power wheel on 4 and shoot 5 shots.

Put it on 5 and repeat.

Get a or tooth pick and stick it in the hole where you have shot. See which is deeper.

Refill tank and do it again on 6,7,8 etc.

When you have reached the deepest penetration and the lowest power wheel number. That is the setting.

Refill to the same PSI after 10 shots for consistency but do not go to 3000 psi because it can be harder for the valve to open and give a few low shots.

Try that.

hi iv got a gunpower stealth in .22 and iv got mine set to 9.1flb and i can hit sub 1/4-1/2inch at 60yards. i don’t have the luxury of a power adjuster like the ones on the talons, iv to open up my gun and play about with spacers to get the correct power.

thanks
