My thoughts on the Edgun
Hi all. I got my .22 standard Matador 2 months ago and I absolutely love it. It’s everything I wanted. However, I have been trying to get magazines for 2 months. I was told June and frankly am having doubts it will happen. I was really up for replacing my .25 Mrod with another Matador in .25. I am beginning to think I made a mistake. If I can’t get something as simple as a mag, what if I need parts ? It seems that after a lot of reading, this appears to be a common complaint. I notice Ed hasn’t posted in quite some time.
I really wish him well. He has a good product, but I may be moving on as far as brand. Is this a US customer problem or Europe as well. I’d really hate to sell my .22, but it may well happen.

I understand that Keyser is selling slightly used mags in both calibers for a slight markup. 🙂
Site says they are made of plastic. Oh, just noticed they are available in aluminum at a higher price.
The new magazines are made of plastic. Some friends have praised these magazines.They said to be softer (easier) to fit the gun and not mark the metal oxidation.
But, because they are lighter than metal ones, can “jump” a pellet when rotating.

There’s lots of shops on the net out there on the net that stock them can see eds point on this one for aone man operation selling a couple of mags will be least of is issues there was a opulent of shops still listing multi shot kits last I looked for edgun spares in the eu
By the way, sending mags from Japan is really difficult. A lot of paper work.
And when the mags come in Japan, it is modified to 5 shots.

In Japan, the shop has purchased plenty of mags and got enough maintenance parts, including regulators, springs, triggers,o-rings, etc from Ed.
In addition, the shop keeps one gun in stock, so that something is really necessary besides replacement parts, the shop can take the parts from the gun and repair the customer’s right away. Shop can wait for 6 month for replacement parts from Ed, but customers does not want to wait, of course.
I think it is about how Ed and a shop built relationship compensating each other. Here, I would say it is really attractive gun with good support.

Yep, THAT is the reason I do not own an Edgun. I went with Crickets, and am very pleased…

It’s normal when I had them in stock, nobody wanted them, as soon as I’ve sold out we have a line 🙂
I’ll get them in plenty soon.
