Q:

My Top Five Movies of All time…

Not necessarily in this order:

Cool Hand Luke: Paul Newman
High Plains Drifter: CE
One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest: Jack Nicholson
Breaker Morant: Edward Woodward
Crash: Don Cheadle, Terrance Howard

I shun movies that get by with only special effects as their only selling point. A good movie needs not to have them. The reason I have chosen these Flicks for my liking is because the Actors actually acted. Imagine that.

I have the next 4 days off from my contracting business. The sole entitey upon itself which makes my life a living Hell. I am about to kick back and watch HPD and have a smoke to relax. Gotta go.

Harry

PS: The Last King of Scotland was absolutely awesome. Forrest Whitaker was so intense in this movie it will blow your mind. What a damn good actor. He got a gift from God.

I’ve put breaker morant in my queue on blockbuster Harry.

I’ve been watching a lot of the movies on AMC lately, never gave them a look when I was a kid and now see the error of my ways.

A show of hands, please. How many on this forum have watched Breaker Morant? If you haven’t seen it, you are missing out.

Great movies are like great literature to me. I feel so fortunate to live in this time when there is such a great body of work to view, or read. Those people who lived before us were never exposed to such a wealth of writing, acting, and direction. It would be interesting to show The Terminator to an audience of the early 1900’s. It would probably scare the daylights out of them with the special effects and all.

Baz’s fave film of all time is
“Brokeback Mountain”. 😯
Then “Ghost”
Then owt at all that has man love in it. 😕 😕

Saving Ryans Privates was pretty good 😆

Another excellent flick is “Steets of Fire” starring Diane Lane as Ellen Aim. Definetly worth seeing, if you haven’t already.

i like cartoons….

the old looney toons awesome

simpsons, futurama, family guy, amrican dad, aqua teen hungerforce, squidbillies, boondock saints…etc

but as soon as they start showing that crappy manga or in that style…its no longer cartoon but a camera scrolling over one drawing…pokemon, dragon ballz what ever adult svim shows late at night…they can keep that, not interested in looking at a poorly made slideshow

GET CARTER (1971)
LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (1962)
APOCALYPSE NOW (1979)
USUAL SUSPECTS, THE (1995)
GODFATHER (1972), THE GODFATHER PART II (1974)

This list has changed so many times before posting 😀 , cheated slightly with the Godfather lol ……we need the top 20 films just cant limit to 5 lol.
