My Vulcan .25

I like to monitor the Vulcan’s velocity with a monthly Chrono test to make sure everything is performing properly. Below are the results with video.

JSB Exact King Diabolo 25.39 grain, 27 shots

903 fps- high
896 fps- low
899 fps- average velocity
7 fps- extream spread
1 fps- standard deviation

Yes Pyotr is very very helpful. But wow 300 bar. Do you feel to gain those extra shots the 0 rings etc etc will wear quicker? I have a 150 mile round journey to fill my two 300 bar bottles. So I think my fill pressure at around 220 230 bar is more suitable. When towards the end of this month I get my new hammer etc I will also foward shot strings to Evgeny, opinion etc.
The potential accuracy of your Vulcan with those strings you sent me will be unbeatable. I cannot wait to get mine running close to yours and visit my gun club. With the intent of hassling the rim fire crowd at 50 metres, club max range. Its a pity that the final bolt movement is stiff otherwise action is very fluid.
Out of interest with my Airwolf the gun is more accurate without magazine, ie single shot tray. Have you tried single shot ie no mag ? I will .

Bolt was stiff in the beginning. After 700 shots or so not as stiff, last 1/4 inch or so to seat pellet. It is more stiff with King heavies though. I had email corospondence with Evgeny to increase my shot count, after sending him several strings from last two months. He said to fill to 300 BAR is no problem, increased my shot count to 45 consistant shots. I can get to 52 shots but last 3 or 4 shots have Es of 10 fps.

Hi Beach
Quite remarkable shot string, even better than month before. When I get my new hammer/spring combo if my V gets close to those figures I shall be over the Moon. It must shoot like a dream.
Question though? Is the bolt stiff over the last inch or so, ie when pushing pellet into breach? Mine is in spite of lubing the O ring.

Another session of the ProChrono last week, this is another installment of the monthly testing I’m doing since ownership in October of 2015.

1 fps Standard Deviation

Mike,
I fill to 250/240 Bar, shoot down to 160 bar and off reg. usually get 27 to 30 regulated shots. I do not have the new hammer at this time.

Hi Beach

Curious why your shot string starts at 27 ie 3 mags?

Can you only get tgis number?

What is start fill pressure and ending please?

Has anyone got the new hammer installed yet?

Safe shooting

Regards

my vulcan is accurate to 900 fps if I upload fps is inaccurate, I would like to shoot at 950fps, it loses some suggestion priate precison I go fps.
Thanks

Second generation.

Your Vulcan is 1st or 2nd Gen?

Wandzolor, I suppose I could adjust the HST and shoot them at 950 fps or more. My gun prefers them around 900 fps, some owners have great success and accuracy at 910-925 fps. I like the ES and STD I’m getting with the fps at 900. Plus I’ve not modified the gun at all just pulled it out of box and shot it often and don’t want to fux with it, when things change, if they do then I’ll have to change that.

What is the max velocity with 25.39 grain?

Hey Zonker, yeah I very happy with my Vulcan .25 I understand that it can be the luck of the draw when buying… My experience with my gun and manufacturer has been great. I’ve done nothing to this gun except shoot it, probably 1,500 to 1,800 pellets down the barrel since getting the gun in October/15. Of course I’ve cleaned the barrel and such, just no fuxing.

Beach, from what I’ve heard the .25 has had no real issues like the .22 with velocity. As soon as it’s warm enough to be outdoors I’ll crono mine to see how consistent it is.
