Q:

ND50 Laser designator

Recently purchased the largest of the designators cheep chinese import via ebay here in the UK
To be honest i had no confidence in this product and i was dreding receiving a cheap flakey knock off….i was very wrong.
Considering that BSA were charging over £350 for this the last time i checked, at £125 for a copy i sceptical, took it out foxing last week the range maybe slightly over estimated it will pick up eyes past 200 yards on its widest setting but you wont get visual recognition of species with the naked eye at this distance.
on a high powered scope and with the laser mounted to the rifle i am confident this would be effective between 300-400 yards but naked eyes 150 yards max, the problem is its not bright enough on max width on any narrower its to small to cover the area and pick up eyes.
Even though its claimed Coyotes cant see the light i am confident fox,s do but for a sit and wait shooting scenario like Boar or anything from a high seat it would be an awsome kit addition and i would highly reccomend it , do not however buy the ND30 unless your at rabbit or rat ranges i have seen it in operation and the same problems are there in a smaller scale.
just my two peneth worth 😀
Regards lyn.

I was thinking to buy ND50, but without photos/videos I don’t want to risk my 100$ 🙂
So, if you can make some – that would be great! Especially if you can make “through scope view”
Thanks.

Can you post some pictures or video. I looked on youtube but is almost no usable videos or pictures that show the new Nd5 in action.

I should have bought the knock off I paid way too much for mine 🙁
