Q:

Need a little help

My SS is one of the older ones. It only has two grub screws to remove the barrel. I’ve had it for about four years now and using the advice I’ve received on this forum, I couldn’t be more satisfied with its performance. But recently I’ve been experiencing problems with the safety. When I dis engage it, the gun fires. It’s never happened before and seems like it’s happening more frequently. So I’m wondering is this from old age and something that can be tweaked? Or as a last resort, should I remove the safety completely? Something I really don’t want to do. Also while I have your attention, can someone direct me to a web site that sells the pistol grip that will attach to the WOK guard? Thank you.

i did a mod i found on the yellow forum to the safety and the safety on my talon works perfectly each and every time.

have you installed the ‘supersear’? it makes the trigger very respectable. 😀

I had of of the older ones my self with that issue. I called Airforce and they know about it. they clames they had no Fix for it. And were unwilling to work on it.

That’s not Right!!!
If they refused to work on any safety issue with me, I’d threaten to report them to the Consumer Product Safety Commision. They are mandated by law to comply with certain safety standards for the country that they are manufactured in…. This is not a warranty issue, this is an issue of liability. I don’t know whom you may have spoken with but I would work my way up management hierchy. I am increadulous that they would be unwilling to cooperate with anone facing such a problem. If it was a case of internal denial or coverup of an issue, I would think all the more reason for them to want to try and quickly fix things up to keep things quieted down.
Lastly, ya can attract more flies with honey than ya can with vinegar. Perhaps you should review your tactics. Are you sure that you spoke nicely with that lady in customer service? Good repoire goes a long way towards resolving an issue and getting cooperation in finding a solution. The less demanding and nicer you are, the more likely they are to go the extra effort to help you out….
If that fails to resolve any issue of safety , consult a consumer advocacy…

As long as the gun is unmodified they are “supposed” to have a lifetime warranty. I wonder how that works?
