Q:

Need help buying Talon SS

Hey guys and gals,

Brand new to the forums and had a few questions about the Talon SS.

I was wondering if there was any way i could get the talon ss in the .22 caliber and make it so it’s backyard friendly? if not would the .177 still be enough to hunt squirrels and crows? (only want to know if backyard friendly for scoping in gun.) Thanks for your help and hope you guys have fun with your talons.

PS. How loud is it when it’s .22 and .177?

High pressure it is what it was designed for, get it….BTW, Mythbusters tested what it took to burst a scuba tank…POINT BLANK a 30-06 wouldn’t even do it. It is perfectly safe to keep in the garage.

Hey hate to bother you guys again but should i get the co2/n2 thing or the high pressure ss? If you guys think i should get the high pressure one, where can i get a cheap way to refill it. lol i don’t think my dad’s gonna let me keep a scuba tank in the garage.

Thanks again for all the help so far,

I believe the .22 is also more air efficient even though it’s pushing out a heavier pellet. I could be wrong but this is what I’ve been told. It’s just a waste to get .177 with the power these air rifles put out. It really shines with .22 pellets and .25 pellets.

The .177 is no quieter, in fact with the wrong pellets it is LOUDER! If a .177 pellet breaks the sound barrier, Ka-Blam, mini shock wave making it sound scary.

have you ever heard a mouse fart?
they are almost that quiet lol
more like dropping a broom and it hitting floor

Alright tyvm. I really appreciate your fast reply and i trust you on it being backyard friendly. the only thing i’m worried about is it being really loud.

Thanks again partner

Buy the .22 caliber! It’s backyard friendly as long as you have a good backstop. When you 1st zero your scope in just make sure you are very close to your target like 10 yards. Make your adjustments and slowly move back as you make more adjustments until you zero it in for your desired distance. Doing it this way should help keep your pellet on target and on your backstop until you get it dialed in. BUY THE .22 CALIBER TALON SS!!!
