Yep,a man, uh, barrel needs a good tight fit! :8:

That barrell goes into the breech pretty far.

Like i was saying you shouldn’t be able to really feel any play with or without the set screws in it.

sounds like either the breach is elongated or the barrel is machined to small.

hopefully its not to old and you can get AOA to replace whats messed up

The group moves it’s been like that since new. The barrel isn’t a tight fit.

That barrel should be a very close tolerance fitting in the breach…

I know with my FX 500 that barrel fit really tight without the set screw in.

Is there a lot of slop when u loosen the set screws? That barrel should not be moving like that. I suppose its possible someone over tightened the barrel and stretched the opening ????

Maybe its not the barrel. Maybe the LDC is loose? How is the Accuracy once it moves? does it dance around?

Id check the LDC make sure it hasn’t come loose… then check to make sure the barrel has a tight fit into the breech .

Thanks , you don’t have to hit it , you can push it left or right it will move set screws are tight If i lean the gun up against the wall, You cant trust it since it was against the barrel

Hey Bob, not to worry TAG is here to help. First and most important, stop taking your aggression out on your barrel, no hitting your barrel, Bob.

If your must resort to violence Bob, take it out on an oil barrel, burn barrel, barrel of fun, barrel of monkeys, barrel of fish or Sir Ville’s favorite a barrel of herring oil. Hell even Kindly Uncle Hoot has been seen wearing nothing but a barrel. You see Bob not all barrels are evil, true some shoot like crap and test the patients of Bob Ross, but no hitting!! Well I hope this helps in your time of need, others will follow shortly with advice of a more technical nature.
