Need help with AF Tank Valves?
I want to learn a little about this subject!
I have several that need an overhaul or an up date!
I can’t seem to get the right combo of springs and valves to clear up the leaks!
Sure hope I can get some more info here?

I am trying to locate some new Brass Fittings as well as the Other new Parts for a couple of mine!
I cannot find any type schematic Drawing or a U tube Video,but will keep trying!
Most of my leaks are in the Very front around the Valve.

I know of 4 things that cause AF tank leaks.
1) the o-ring between the tank and the valve body.
If you remove the valve from the tank you need to replace that ?size o-ring no matter if it looks good.
2) the delrin valve seat.
Usually it can be put in a drill and sanded smooth on the original angle. But it’s better to buy a new one so you onow what it is suposed to look like.
3) there is the brass bushing that the delrin seat sears into. It can be fouled or have a scratch or gouge on its face.
Hone it and polish it.
4) there is a small o-ring inside the brass bushing that the valve stem rides in. They wear out and new ones need silicone lube. Other oils cause the rubber to swell and dissolve sorta.
5) BONUS INFO :rofl: the steel valve spring can corrode where in contact with its brass nut, especially in high humidity areas when using an air source that has no moisture filter. I had this problem because of humidity in W. Central Ohio. Also found the same problem in one of my pumps. If you don’t get new parts buff off the corrosion and use di-electric grease on it.
Sorry I don’t remember the sizes but AF is nice to talk to and very helpful.

Use stainless steel instead of brass. Stainless has a higher working pressure then brass.
Brass is fine for CO2 pressures.
