Q:

need some help with a talon frame

Are there any Edge owners that are also machinists who could modify my talon frame? I would like to use an Edge grip and tank so that would require frame modification. Anyone that can help please PM or just respond here!

Question two: if I use an Edge tank and have an adjustable hammer spring, would that get me up to 12 fpe? Thanks again!

That right there is all I’m after- but with an adjustable cheek piece for proper scope height… I was thinking the PRS because it’s so adjustable- I think it would look odd, and add too much weight.

The regulator is just a standard pressure regulator. If you keep the valve open further for longer it should still flow more air. Also a larger bore with heaver pellet will allow the air more efficiently to impart its energy on the pellet. As to if you could get 12ftlb out of it there is only one way to find out.

When I first seen the prototype of the edge I asked Blodnob to make me a similar tank. He made me this up using one of his own valves. His valves are far more efficient then the standard condor valve yet works great at 12ftlb

something else I’ve been thinking about- using a RAP4 stock adapter, and hook a remote line to it, and use a MAGPUL PRS stock instead of a collapsable. Not sure if It would work, but it’s a thought. I’ve emailed RAP4 to see if it would take 3k psi, and what size it is. I think It would be pretty cool, and I’d have an adjustable stock… Here’s what I mean:

I’m not so sure. You have a valve and a regulator and length of steel tube and a steel end plug with Foster and the shoulder stock assembly.

I have an old Talon SS frame myself that I am building into a .25 carbine. I want to use the 22 CI tank to increase the shot count over the Talon P, but still keep the slimness of the smaller tank.

well that’s something to consider… I just like the look of the edge tank, plus it’s light… Or I assume it’s lighter than even a TalonP tank…

You will not get 12FPE out of an Edge tank assembly because it is regulated. If you can adjust the regulator, you can get the power you want, however you will not have many shots.

Maybe you should think of a Talon P tank and a TT stem with the small insert. That will give you the low power you want and you can change inserts for high power when you want it.

Cool. Its an old frame, non-spinloc. Im hoping to use the edge tank for a carbine 12fpe project. Now if only I could find a machinist to drill out the second grip piece ill be set.

I had the original edge tank and it screwed directly to a old style talon. I’m not up to speed on the newest generation of spin lock talons so could not comment on them. I suspect if your running a bigger bore such as .22 with your power wheel turned up a bit it would see a good gain.
