He is not talking about fitting inside the frame, he is talking about springs tha fit inside the aluminum tubing.

Any spring appx. 6″ long of fairly heavy wire that will fit inside the frame. Some so-called 1″ springs are actually OVER 1″ in outside diameter, as I found out the hard way. Best to find a washer that fits your frame and take one with you to find a spring. The spring is going to be cut in any event so the actual length doesn’t matter that much. The springs I found came in a two-pack and were 4″ each. Just make sure that when the entire stackis inserted (springs, washers, O-rings) the end cap puts a SLIGHT pressure on the end. This will keep things from shifting and insure proprer alignment.

Once you get everything set up, it’s “mouse fart” time.

🙂 thank’s guy’s i will try ace,true value.i’ve tried home depot and lowes.btw what kind of springs do i need(length,etc.).thank’s

A local, non Lowes/Home Depot hardware store should have the springs and the aluminum – Ace, True Value etc.

Check home depot?

Do It Center had the springs, washers, and O-rings to fit the aluminum tubing. I got my aluminum tubing here http://www.mcmaster.com/

🙂 abe thank’s for your reply.anyone else?

Shroud tubing with accurate OD can be had on line. Go to

<onlinemetals.com>

and look in their aluminum tubing section. The great advantage is that they sell as little as 1′ sections. Their 1″OD should fit inside the frame. The 1.25″ should be the same OD AS the frame.

I found my spring at a local hole-in-the-wall hardware store. Ace and Lowe’s springs were too big or too small in OD. O-rings are a problem. The right diameter are fairly thin. Ones that are thick enough, IMO, are too big. I’m still looking.

Have fun, shoot safe and may you never get the flinchies.
