Q:

Needing a AG fix…having withdraws

It’s been about a year since my last big airgun purchase. Witch was a AA S400 in .22 cal and a “flame thrower” air compressor.

So lets get me a fix (I mean gun).

I’m looking for a 100 yard pcp shooter. Yea, I know the S400 will hit 100 yard targets, but I have it set up so it will spilt a fly hair at my bait station and don’t like messing with the scope dope all the time. I like it to stay “ready” for all the Grizzly bears that roam the yard. 😎

My .177 Talon SS is a bit on the light side. There are very few days that there is not some kind of wind blowing here.

Let me gave you a few requirements; 💡

1) it has to be a pcp.

2) is to be able to make one inch groups at 100 yards. Is one inch asking for to much (off a bench rest).

3) is in .22 cal. .25 cal might be an option.

Loudness is really not a problem in my neighborhood, but a quite shooter would be nice on my ears.

All I want to do with the gun is kill that goat bell and make that spinner spin way out there. 😈

I have been dreaming of a tuned Talon SS (from TalonTunes) all dressed up nice and pretty. Almost bought one last year. But I decided to get the S400 and compressor instead.

Thanks for all comments.

Every time I see one of them EdGuns things, I think “where the rest of it”. Man for that kind of money you should at least get a whole gun. 😯

beautiful gun but i just have a hard time thinking about resting my cheek on a cold piece of metal. just doesn’t seem right.

Here is some eye candy , i saved this from somewhere, cant remember , but i like it. plum perty

what are Edguns going for these days? I am guessing over $1500 all in. for that amount, i would spend $200-300 more and get an electronic Daystate. for sure i know my Airwolf will group slightly over 1 inch at 100 yards.

Go for the condor or edgun.

I get about 1.5 inch groups at 100-120 yards out. Out of the box .

some guys here can do better than that .

you might want to beef up the talon , replace the barrel and get ahigh flow tank heavier hammer.ect ect.

or just buy a stock condor. if you have the dough get it tuned from talon tunes .

Thanks powderburnes

I have been looking at three guns. Talon SS/Talon, Marauder, and Condor. More or less in that order. Any talon or condor would have go out for tune up and dress up this time around. But the time it takes for a tuning, most of my time off this winter will be gone before I start 16 hour work days again.

The AA S500 is so much like the S400, I can’t see spending the extra dollars for a little bit of different wood.

Yeah the S500 is sweat!

Well Glen dont know what to say , you have some nice guns for sure. but one thing that comes to mind is you can turn that .177 SS into any thing that your want.

I have a .22 condor 24” , and it does it all, with adjustment of course.i love it.

BUt if i were to buy another gun i really love the aspect of the short SS and or the bull pup, so the Edgun would be at the top of my list . but i really like the adjust ability of the air force platform.

Edgun
Airarms
Daystate

YOu might add a regulator to the s400 , or buy its big brother. get a condor 24” and set it up with a regulator.??????????????

Wacha been lookin at.
