New Air Force Hunting Rifle
Got word from my secret source that Air Force is comming out with a new hunting rifle. According to CEO John McCaslin it will keep the AirForce’s
unique looks and feel. It will be the most powerful air rifle that they have ever produced. Is anyone thinking that its going to be a big bore rifle ?
What caliber will it be , will it be a single shot ( more than likely ) ? Well , we only have to wait until the SHOT SHOW that opens up in Las Vegas
on Jan. 20TH to find out and have all of our questions answered.

Hold on! It’s gonna be a big bore “escape”rifle style, now we are talking! Lol
To be honest if I would be into big bores I would give Doug my .22 condor to transform it to a .357 may be a .257cal
I have seeing his work personally and let me tell you he is the man! If anybody wants a really Condor bigbore, call Doug!

Same tank 🙁 oh well maybe later. Still 1000fps for even the lightest .45 bullet is very impressive.
That valve must be a real doozy.
Good that they left some extra material on the rail/bridge to the tank, also the frame looks thicker from the PW window back to the breech? Have to stiffen things up for a .45 I guess.
Well, at least they’re trying… a side lever! Somebody at AF is finally listening… Is it really a Side cocker? It’s hard to tell from the pics. Although, w/no place for the breech knob to go, it has to be a side cocker. It looks like it’s using the original style trigger group, and not the new style- lets hope?? I’m not seeing the bar under the loading port of the newer trigger group. Ugh, they still need to do more than this… :angrymob:
Who needs power without accuracy, this people need to work on improving the frame and other things about this rifle, c’mon Airforce give us something NEW!!!! :angrymob:

I have two questions.
Any one know what the prefered bullet/slug is? and is the tank the same size as one their other guns?
In the fall of 2012, I had a lengthy conversation with John McCaslin concerning a .50 caliber big bore air rifle they were working on. It would look different than the present line, however the barrels would also be able to swap out quickly for various calibers down to .25. It sounds like they are finally going to make it to market with it.
Now that I think about it a bit more…
I’d expect AF to continue along with plug n play… A big bore that can swap barrels. Perhaps they could offer a .35 and .40 on the same platform. In my very non expert opinion a .40 makes more sense for white tail. It would also be pretty cool if they could put together something that could hand with the 40 bore powder burners.

i hope .35 cal with +130-150 fpe (80 grain with 900-950 fps) Perfect:D
I’d guess at least 35 cal. .35 PCP is legal for deer hunting in Michigan.
I’d like to use an airgun for deer, so an Airforce capable just might go on my wish list. I’m eager to see what they have come up with.

Considering in Texas you can not use an airgun to kill anything other then a squirrel that will be one messy kill…lol
What is up with Texas? You can not carry a Bowie Knife and you only shoot squirrels with and airgun….. :rofl:
Even in California I can carry a Bowie knife while hunting Turkey, pheasant, jack rabbit, coyote etc…with an airgun.
