Q:

New Ammo bill

May of already been talked about, but here it is again…

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009
It has already started….
Ammunition Accountability Legislation
Remember how Obama said that he wasn’t going to take your guns?
Well, it seems that his allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!
The bill 20 that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.
Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.
Any privately held un coded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.)
They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!
If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states:
Alabama, Arizona , California , Connecticut , Hawaii , Illinois ,
Indiana, Kentucky , Maryland , Mississippi , Missouri ,
New Jersey, New York , Pennsylvania , Rhode Island ,
South Carolina, Tennessee , and Washington ..

——————————————————————————–

Send to your friends in these states
AND
fight to dissolve this BILL!!

Please follow the links and provide me with any type of legislation for California… You can’t because it is not there…

I don’t know who runs these rumor mills but y’all are beginning to make me think your from Berkeley California with all this sky is falling stuff. 😆 It’s making gun lovers look like they are from Code Pink… 😆

Microstamping on the end of the bullet… Yep and all candy will have microstamping in case there is a salmonella outbreak we can find out which batch of chocolate it is from… 😆 😆 😆

Use a revolver.

They could stamp all they want….LOL

I keep hearing from well placed people that this is only a rumor. No truth to it at all.

As far as the micro stamp goes. Even in Cali Weird. It isn’t being done. Not on the cases at least. They were talking about the marker being machined into the firrng pin.

Won’t work. Any crook with an ounce of brains would know to file or sand off the tip of the firing pin.

These are typical tactics from the pelosie zombies that know Nothing What so Ever about Fire Arms.

The rifling already marks the bullet. The Chamber already Marks the case. The Breach already marks the base of the casing. Each and every primer fired in a given gun will have unique marks on it that any ballistics lab can identify. So they are already marked. but pelose is too fucking stupid to know it. But perfectly willing to pass more useless laws.

And no. They are not doing the micro stamping in Cali yet either. It didn’t pass. Because it doesn’t work.
Why? Because of something called primer extrusion. In order to be able to read given numbers, or letters, there would have to be many of them to mark so many different guns. The markings would have to be so small to get enough info on the tip of the firing pin to do the job, that it would make it impossible to read them after the firing cycle. The tip of the firing pin striking the primer, then the primer swelling with the explosion, then the withdrawal and subsequent dragging of the partially retracted firing pin would destroy such micro stamping. Especially in an semi-auto.

It’s pure science fiction from a childish mind. Pelosi.

The Abomination team members are throwing any thing they can against the wall trying to get something to stick. So far, all they are sling is Crap!

Whats worse, they have us ducking their crap and panicking. Exactly what they want!

Well, I wouldn’t bet the farm on things like this NEVER happening, we know they will whittle away at whatever they can, whenever they can…

all righty then, I hear you and I get were your coming from
I just refuse to worry about any of this, so I’ll let you all do the worrying for me 😉

When did that pass?

it’s not a taking it for granted thing, it is a cost thing and the fact that the only people that have ever pushed for it are the inventors, I think twice now they have gotten as fare as starting the cost to effectiveness studies and both times were found to be not even close to being worth it, that was many, many years ago, it has been a long time sense I’ve done any real reading on it but I think the studies were done around ’89 or something. every time they try again they just get shut down.

quote get the blue jay:

This has been tried many times by the inventors of the technology and has been shot down almost immediately every time they try it, There is no worry about this ever happing.

I don’t know if I’m all that comfortable with that attitude. The very same thing was said about ‘microstamping’ (the same sort of idea, the gun marks each case fired)…..but it is in fact law in California. We got it when we got the lead bullet ban in fact:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firearm_microstamping

Just because it’s not fair, or doesn’t really work, doesn’t mean it can’t happen.

It is IMO extremely dangerous to take gun rights for granted. There are very determined self serving people out there working against us. Rather I favor some insurance…..NRA membership comes to mind. As does not supporting the organizations that use stuff like this to scare owners saying ‘the NRA isn’t doing enough’.

It aint so….

This is old news, kept alive by the greed of the guy that holds the patient on the (no doubt expensive to us and proffitable to him) process.

Check out the information on his web site, the state by state ‘news’ is years old. This bill is not ‘pending’ in my state, it died a fast and quiet death before it ever stood up…..two years ago!!

http://shakespearessister.blogspot.com/2009/01/ammunition-accountability-act-e-mail.html

Rest assured, if it was a threat, the NRA would be all over it. Everyone is a member, right? Free year’s membership drive going on right now…..

Doug Owen

There’s a whole bunch of rumor regarding this issue, but I haven’t seen anything substantial from the mainstream press. No surprise there, I guess, but I think it would’ve popped up somewhere by now… Fox would be all over it, IMO. The NRA would be screaming to high-heaven, and I haven’t seen any mention lately in my American Rifleman magazine.

The only place I seem to see it is on gun forums.

Frankly, I don’t see how any ammo manufacturer would even bother to go to the trouble and expense of laser-engraving each round, let alone the fact that I doubt the technology even exists to do so.

Until I see real reporting, I gotta chalk this up as hoo-hah designed to keep driving the current ammo buying frenzy.

If everyone would relax for a bit and quit paying out the nose to horde the stuff, the supply will come back up and we’ll be able to buy what we want for a decent price.
