Got mine today. Other than cleaning up the threads, perfect! I chose one in the raw, bead blasted. Shot some groups and it is on point. Thanks John!

Lars that is the same stuff… F15 felt

is this the same, or similar, felt by the foot?

I haven’t put a vinyl depinger in my airtube, but have seen videos of it being successful for some folks. I seem to remember someone on this board saying they were not needed for matadors.

I’ve been meaning to experiment with different ldc materials to quiet report, magic eraser is a product someone recommended. Was also told the foam pieces on curlers could also help slow the air release.

Thanks guys, I’m looking at buying the felt, but min is like 5 yards – maybe i can use the extra against the headboard I was kinda hesitant, and waited to post till I thought the NOOB got changed, I guess once a noob, always a noob. Aaaaaaaaaloha, deplumber

Deplummer,

I have a six inch long, 1 1/2 inch diameter carbon fiber clague LDC which I use on my .25 cal long R3. The Ldc has two baffles. While it quiets the report, I believe if I had the ability to take it apart, I would add felt to take down a notch. It is a good unit but I am always on the look for a more effective unit. I like the Paris ldc because of the ability to modify by adding felt. BTW, my gun is shooting jsb kings at 900 fps. Also, I love John’s baffle cover. It is a precision piece and does nothing to take away from the R3’s splendid construction. Mine came painted black, but I quickly remove the paint. I like the way it looks in the raw. It is bead-blasted to match the R3’s original shroud finish.

First off I feel compelled to warn you that the paris LDC can be used on other “things”. Be very careful with that model.

Now that I have said that disclaimer If you wrap the Paris baffles with this stuff it is a lot more effective.

John is the man. it’s a beautiful piece of work.

I have a paris d ldc. does anyone else have other ldc’s that they use and what are you opinions. I’ll get some pics as soon as I figure out how to use my new phone – it only has 4 buttons, not like the one I used to have.

does anyone have experience with taming it even more? I noticed that if I have my new girlfriend hold my tube as well as the one on my edgun, the metallic noise is reduced. I saw an old u-tube of ted pushing a soft vinyl tube in to the air tube to accomplish this but have not read here if anyone else on the forum has done this – just curios
