Q:

New bipod, and flip open caps for bushnell legend scope

I ordered a harris bipod and some flip open lens caps for my bushy legend, both from midwayusa.com. The bipod is absolutely rocksteady and makes prone shooting a lot easier. I used stacked up rocks before I got the bipod. airtight_python graciously sent me a pair of studs, free of charge. Thanks man!

I also ordered some Butler creek flip open lens caps. They work very well and are much better than the one pice bunjy cord one the scope came with.

I would recommend both of these products.

thats sweet lookin m8, i too have gone for a bipod and currently mounted it at the bottom, but not on the frame but drilled and taped a tri rail, because, of reading all the good news on here i didn’t want to stress the frame. will post pics when i get home and i suppose its slightly more adjustable then permantly sticking it to the frame.

quote Shadoh:

Does it fold back on the foregrip? If so does it get in the way?

No, it folds forward. The tip of the legs go to about 2.5 inches past the end of the frame.

It is a #34 Objective cover, and a #20 Eyepiece cover.

Hey Bikini what size scope caps fit the legend for front and rear? I think I need to pick me up some tomorrow.

I transport my rifle in a short case, and I didn’t want the bipod legs to go past the end of my barrel, making it not fit in the case anymore. I also placed it on in different spots to see what looked good, and I though where I have it now looked the best.

Next thing on my list is some custom wood, and a really nice green laser. All after i get an AA s410 of coarse 😀

No problem Bikin’.

Looking good. How did you decide where on the frame to tap for the bipod? Mine, although is on a Condor, is a bit further forward. I thought that would give more stability, but I didn’t consider frame flex… I haven’t shot off of it enough to notice… but it’s probably there.

Here’s a pic of my old set-up. All that has changed is the laser is gone, the flashlight is off and it currently has a raw .25 barrel. I also chose a Harris… 6-9″ BR model.

My PS skills suck man!

Adam, yes I did.

Abe, It is a Harris model 1A2-LM 9″ to 13″ with leg notches.

Does it fold back on the foregrip? If so does it get in the way?

Bikin,

What length/model bipod is that?

Abe

Derek,

That is a great looking set up. Did you drill and tap the frame?

Lookin’ good there.
