New breech O-ring install about to happen… any tips?
Okie-doke… got my new 90 durometer O-rings today, (thanks, Royce!) and I’ll be an allen-wrenching and silicone-applying mofo within the next few days.
Saw, read and understand all the relevant instructions from the Quick Ref section.
Looks super simple and cut and dried, but wondering if any of you have discovered any extra tips, tricks or advice that I can use to make the whole operation the easiest and avoid headaches?

Thanks to both of you, I’ll use your advice.
after removing old orings;
insert the new oring, push it slightly past the oring groove ( it will be sidways and catewompus) then use a small dowel, drill, rod, etc from the opposite end of the breech to push it back toward the groove. The biggest thing i found was pushing the whole oring PAST the groove then working it back into place from the opposite end.
Well the first time I did this was by trial and error, mostly error lol. The one seal is a bit harder because it seats further inside the ID of breach. What I will try next time, is maybe getting out my set of drills, and finding two sizes that fit the ID of the breach hole nicely, not to tight. Put the o ring in, it will go in all cock-eyed, and put the chuck end of the drill in behind it, pushing the o ring in the hole. Take another similar size drill, and put it thru the other side, and sandwhich the o ring in between them, forcing the ring upright and straight in the hole. Slide the drills with o ring in between them towards the slot, it may just pop right in. At least that’s my theory, haven’t tried it yet, maybe some others have some better ideas…
