Interesting… 😀

Thanks Lars!

Ted I watch alot of your videos and respect your opinion.
Does the hieght of the scope present any sighting in problems?
I always try to keep my scopes as low as possible to the barrel

If you haven’t seen this already. here is Fredric shooting the Indy.

I see one’s jaw on that mag… Or the action really low for a decent cheek weld.

Will be interesting to see it up against someone’s face at some point to get an idea of what lines up where.

Still think it’s ugly. 😆

The FT rifle is interesting… I wonder why they went with a full length rail that connects to the muzzle attachment. 😕 Are the ST barrels too thin to cantilever on their own? Doesn’t seem like there should be a problem with their strength.

That’s what he tells all of the girls. 😛

Short Is Really Good 🙄

+ 😀 😀 😀

Good try knifemaker 😯 must of had some vilings in your family 😆 😆
Only way that’s truly going to happen is if you can activate the rifles action from the front of rifle 🙄 🙄 or use FX simi auto action on it.

Now theirs a mouth full….”FX new simi-bullpup simiautomatic”….Hey Fred you listen to this…..there a great idea 😀 😀 These air rifle bullpup came out of Russia where you can shoot out your car window and not go to “Huntsville” for life. Short is good, short is really good here in the good old USA… 😀 😀
All these long bullpups have lost the reason they were made in the first place…. 🙄 🙄

That, and having the action slightly forward of the butt stock, allows you to actually use the Multi-Shot feature without having to loose the sight picture. Typical Fredric. Thinking “Practical”,( What works), rather than simply following the newest fad band wagon.

Now add a scope and bbl. support! 😉

KnifeMaker

I like the FX bullpups. I will have to wait to see the final specs for overall length and weight. Also interested to see how balanced it is. Watching the FX Indy shot without sacrificing the sight picture was really cool.

If you look at most bullpups, the action is not located right at the buttplate like Edgun or Cricket. You will typically have 3-4 inches of stock material before the back of the action. I love my Edgun but at times have thought of adding an adjustable buttpad.

thanks
L

Maybe I’m missing something here 😯 but I’ve always thought the idea of “bullpups” was a short, easly maneuverable rifle. What I see with this new FX is a simi-bullpup. Sure not what I’d call short by any means, unless you are compairing it to an AirForce Condor 😯

The distance from the back of the action to the butt plate is NOT bullpupish at all…….more like a stock I’d cut off for one of my little grandkids to shoot 😆
Not trying to be picky here but it looks like old Fredie is just trying to jump on the “pup” bandwagon….and make a few extra bucks. Good try but sure not in an Edgun or Kalibr neat bullpup league. May shoot circles around both but let’s call a spad a spad…..FX new “simi-bullpup”… 😀 😀 😀

Oh yes, I’m still pissed off at “Fredie” for building the Boss with out an amidextrous stock. Hell the guy even shoots left handed himself. What kid of brother would do that to his left haned customers? Simi-bullpup kind of guy I guess 👿 👿 🙄 🙄

PS: I wonder if those magazine holders built into the butt stock are reliable? Losing an FX magazine is an expensive proposition.

I thought that same thing. It either needs to “click” into place, or be a snug fit in a rubberized stock.

As for the concerns re: the scope rail…. I would think the same thing, had I not already mounted a scope like this on my revolution. The sucker looks flimsy, but it’s a rock and holds zero as good as any of my other guns.

FX Indy pup. Oh boy!!!! Now I don’t have to build one.

me neither!!

i just turn the lever all down and start to design a stock, much like a spring break barrell one, open down. yhis allows the use of two half eights for the riflescope rail support.

I’m using the cantilever tri rail on my Marauder pistol bullpup. works excelent! i’m using a light 3-9×32 swat leapers there.

I Love Bullpup’s !!!

i’m thinking in the Air Arms EV2 “bullpuped” hahaha…

Mac

That is a bit of a cantillever on the scope mount. 😯

Bunch of piss ant whiners….

Great blog post Ted, love the new web site. 😀
