new caldwell chronograph
got me a new in the box not opened caldwell ballistic precision premium kit yesterday for 45.00 on craigslist
it works nice set it up last night …it took some time to get it to read to my phone once i figured it out to set it up …. its got led lights “have not used them yet ” nice carry case ,tripod like 20+ feet of cable for the phone. nice read out on the front … still working on how to send reading to myself ” laptop” looks like my vulcan was reading about 917fps with jbs exact kings 25.39 i only shot a few getting low on pellets waiting for shipment to come , shot 4 crow magnums about 880fps with them and 4 barracuda hunter extremes 870’s with them if i remember right i didn’t copy it down today i will …. i’ve only got about 10 kings left and for saved for 10 dove this morning LOL but …… i think u should never piss off your wife she will sell your stuff when your not home LOL LOL either that or this women was taking packages i saw 7-10 boxes of stuff in her garage all looked new ….. i didn’t ask …. “i know nothing” ….. the instructions are vague to say the least on how to set up you phone so i will search to see how to send to myself the app dint say and i can’t see a send button on the app. also it came with 20 sos survival bars and two butler creek scope caps that fit my swfa now i have a extra set LOL … so i hope the lady was on the up-in-up but my gut said not….

What do you mean by rebuild a template?
I have weight sorted my JSBs and set up a template for each .1 grain bunch. I’m beginning to think temperature or atmospheric conditions has more of an effect than a few tenths of a grain in weight.
I use the 3 info lines to record things like Beginning and Ending PSI BAR, Distance to TARGET, POI SPREAD, Sighting height with SCOPE or LASER, etc. until I change the Weight of Pellets or other Set Up info it is easier to use a saved Template.

i get pellets today so i’ll play some and see what i can do… got istrelok app on the iPhone it has my swfa reticle so gonna use derf. pellets weights and make up some dope pic’s and put them on my phone that way i’ll have them to look at when shooting derf. pellets for hold overs … until i can remember what they all are …
I use both an iphone and ipad at diferent times and like my caldwell chrono.
But, I haven’t found a way to share complete saved group files or templates from one device to the other So I sometimes settle for the email option and have to rebuild an identicle template.
The light bar is UV INVISIBLE LIGHT WITH A RED LED PILOT LIGHT TO ONE END TO SHOW IT IS ON. AT FIRST I thought the lights were only partially working. They work great! Ver few error readings and I think they only happen if not shooting fairly straight across the sensors. That would probably give a false slow reading anyways.

First you need to save the group.
Then select “groups” at the bottom of your screen.
Then select the saved group.
At the bottom of that screen you will see share.
You can text the string data or email it. If emailed, it will put the data in the body of the email and attach a .csv file that can be opened in excel if you want to graph the data. In the saved group screen you can also take a photo of your target group and it saves it with the group data.

Yes, I have not found a way to be able to save the groups on 2 devices either in the format that the app creates.
