New CO2 Fan!!!
Most of my shooting is within 20y. There are something like 70 young kids in my neigborhood with lots of adjoining backyards but I do sneak out back on school days when they are not around and get up to 30y. Trips to some family property are rare but distances are virtually unlimited there.
When I’m shooting in my 20y range (long basement) I tend to sit there for a few hours and go through a lot of pellets and air. Been filling my full size CF tank to 4600psi about every ten days. Gets old because the shop is 30 min away and they don’t fill anything on the spot and HPA fills have to wait until they run the compressors. Owners says that’s once in 2-3 days so my turnaround is usually at least 2 days.
Solution = CO2. Thanks to Buzzcat I now have a CO2 setup that outperforms my expectations. Super quiet. I think I may actually pull the shroud and put the endcap back on while using CO2! Super accurate/consistent. I only shot it one night but there was no POI chasing with scope adjustments. I know it’s not for the power freaks or for longer distances but man am I pleased. Fills are $2, on the spot at a place I drive by dailly.

I do have a question though… Is CO2 pressure really enough to get decent accuarcy at 30 yards? I have my doubts but won’t be able to test it till Monday. School ends next we for all the kids so I’m taking Monday off for a little fun before they become unavoidable.
I’m kind of expecting to max out my scope adjustment and wish I had more. But I can always swap bottles back to HPA.

And yes Buzz, I have a way overbuild 😯 pellet trap for outdoors. I’ll grab a pic one of these days. It’s basically a 22×8 steel backed 4×4 framed duct seal trap sitting in a 2ft x 4.5 ft insulated enclosure and the whole thing is mounted on a hand cart for ease of movement. Fkers’ heavy! But it does a good just as a ‘shroud’ arounf the trap and it’s hard to miss. I also have a 6ft privacy fence.
My indoors version is a set of steel baking tins with an extra layer of sheet metal in the back and 1.5 inches of duct seal. I have 4 of these 8) . The guy who works the electrical isle at HD knows me…. I’ve bought him out of duct seal several times.
It’s the echo of the thwack (even in the duct seal) that I’m worried about moreso than the kids. Of couse I don’t shoot when the kids are wondering around but there is no need to make the parents think I’m a danger. ((5 of those kids are mine by the way, well 2 mine, 3 my wifes, but still all here))
I shoot this CO2 pistol and am dead nuts accurate at 50yds.
CO2 does fine as long as you do not shoot to fast.

I’ve killed critters at 45 yds on the CO2 setup with only a little holdover, so I think you’ll be able to drill hundreds of bullseyes at 30. Accuracy, and still a ton of power as well. CPs and JSB Exact 15’ers.
BTW, if you haven’t already, buy or build yourself a very heavy-duty pellet trap for your indoor shooting.
I have the same mount (i think). I had to use it to be able to zero my scope at 10m. Problem is… It’s adjusted down, I think I’ll need to go up for CO2 at 30y and changing the adjustment on the mount is a pain, not something I want to do just to sneak outside for a while. Anxious to test it but gotta wait til monday.
I sited in my scope, pretty close, with a bee-square one piece adjustable mount. I wanted a “beeman 5039” but they were out of stock most places at that time. This way you could have more adjust ability than you do have now.

I’ve found that CO2 is prety consitent if you do as WOK says, Don’t shoot too fast!
