Q:

New Condor 22

I am now the proud owner of a Condor 24″ in 22. I haven’t charged the tank yet but will this week. I have purchased several pellet brands recommended on this forum for a 22 Condor.

I own a Talon SS… is there anything special I should know about the Condor?

and, using bone stock, what fill pressure and PW should be my starting point for good accuracy… e.g. my TSS loves PW4.0 and 2600psi.

It’s HPA unregulated…. just getting a feel if it’s different in behavior than a TSS… sounds like it’s very similar, just more power.

Hey, the Houge grip, is it this one?

Your right and I am spacing out this afternoon.

HPA has a regulator originally intended to replace CO2 usually set to 850psi

“my TSS loves PW4.0 and 2600psi.’

Thats HPA vs CO2.

No mention of using HPA.

Likely going full PCP setup on a Condor.

Congratulations. I have the Talon Stubby coming tomorrow….

They are great performers. I have a shroud on mine which may make a difference on accuracy. Don’t change the factory top hat setting for HPA. Try 2700-2800 psi for best accuracy. If you are at high altitude you may need 2800 or less. Even near supersonic can affect accuracy.

A $9 Hogue rubber grip sized CZ 75/85 fits perfectly.

It shoots the following pellets in mine but power levels matter (JSBs seem like like it a bit slower) and a clean barrel matters (I don’t lube pellets):

Very Good
Kodiaks (mabe ny H&N) 21.14
H&N Baracudas (same as Kodiaks w/ same head diameters) 21.14
JSBs 14.3
Benjamin Discovery’s 14.3
JSB Monsters 25.4

Pretty Good (enough for hunting)
JSB 18.1s
Predator 16 grs.

Kodiaks for sure 🙂
