New Condor
I just got my new Condor today so I filled the tank to 2700 p.s.i. which was all I had in my scuba tank. I ajusted the power wheel to 5 and the other no. looked like 4.5.I took 3 shots with 21.3 gr. pellets. I thought i just shot a .22 rimfire. WAS LOUD. I only took 3 shots to see if it worked but the velocity was 1091, 1095, 1100 f.p.s. I thought it was dialed way down on no.5. I’m shocked because the last shot went through a 2×4. How do I make it shoot at 800 f.p.s. with these pellets. The power this gun has is crazy. I would have shot more but in the basement it was really loud. How can I turn it down to plink?I cannot believe the power. Thanks.

Joe I don’t know what the psi was after those 21 shots. I’m use to looking at a guage and as you know the Condor don’t have one.
I forgot I was using .22 cal Kodiaks 21.3 gr. Sorry that was 31 shots. If anyone has any more advice I am all ears Thanks.
What was the end psi after those 20 shots?
My condor is about 5 years old and it shoots well at 2000 psi. The new valve systems must be sensitive
I shot this string this morning with 2900 p.s.i., top hat at .072 and power wheel set at 3 for the first 20 shots. The last 10 shots p/w was turned all the way to zero.

Tomorrow I will try 2500 or 2600 p.s.i. Is there something else I should do?
it could be that your new condor has a very light valve spring. You can try filling your tank to 2800 or 3000 psi to see if it makes any difference too. Also turn down the power wheel til you find the sweet spot.
Either turn the power wheel almost all the way down, or you could fill to a lower PSI, like 2500 or so.
Ya I hear ya, I just wish that all those assholes that interfere with my guns and shooting would all FUCKOFF AND DIE.
Your near the Falls? Im in Buffalo. Id say lets get together and shoot but The border crossing is like going to East Germany now. pain in the ass.

Thanks for the welcome and the advice Walter. I will try what you said. If I didn’t know any better I could of sworn that darn Condor had a powder charge in it. Makes my other airguns seem like toys. I am impressed.

try powerwheel at 0,0 and then play with fill pressures to find your plinking spot. If that is not enuf then adjust tophat to say 0.025″ and see what that gets you.

CONGRATS on the new Condor! They really are high-tech, huh??? I believe I read somewhere here the Condor can shoot as low as ~600fps~, can’t remember where it was.
I miss the gun pressure gauge too, I’ve already ordered an “E-Tac”…it’s a mod that puts a press. gauge on neck of the bottle $100.00..mine should be in my grubby little hands by wed/thu. of next week. Ya might want to check it out. Having a gauge on the bottle is a necessity, at least for me!!
