Q:

New Condor in .22…What type of sling for the field…?

I got the new to me Condor with 2 BBL’s. Its got all the goodies I need to go with it. I have the swivels for a sling. What is anyone using to haul theirs around the field for a little hunting? I have Shotgun type slings for my Diana 54 and 48’s, but they won’t work for this one. I want something that looks good and works even better…

Gotta get a Scuba tank soon and then CO2 this summer…

Adam,

Got one ordered and will drop the payment in the mail tomorrow on my way to work..

From the sling posting, it looks like you had a prototype prior to the final WOKButt…

Thanks for the answers…

Adam’s butt is a sweet setup and you can’t go wrong with getting one. My next gun will sport the Wokbutt 😀

I use this in keeping with the style of the Rifle

Its a light duty tie down lashing with a break strain of 70kg.Cut to size and fed through two Uncle Mikes QD sling attachments.
Got 2 from Ebay for $3 including posting. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Hi Bill,

I make a shoulder piece for the Airforce guns that allows mounting a sling to it also.

Or take a look in the Quick Reference section and you can see a tactical sling set up.

Take a look.

The pics are great. I noticed that the gun butt appears to be modified and have some type of recoil pad. Could you show another upclose pic and maybe some info about what you did?

Thanks,

The one you got at Wally World is the one. It looks like the ones I have on my RWS/Diana’s Side Lever 48’s and 54. Hunter makes the Shotgun style that slips on and this works great. Adjustable and able to stay on the shoulder is what I like.

Thanks for the answer. I agree with the color choices for the match to different stocks.

Last piece I need for this winter will be the Scuba Tank. Found a nice 80cuft Sherwood with the K Valve. Get it filled in Spokane for $4.

CO2 this summer might be the end of the purchases for my Condor. Then maybe sent to a tuner. Or maybe an upgrade to .25 cal with a new barrel.

This setup has worked for me. Got the sling at Wally World and it’s called the “Talon Super sling” I think? and it can be adjusted with one hand with a stabilizing thumb loop.

WJpelka, I think you aren’t getting any replies due the fact that there is not a sling that is “the sling” for AF guns. I don’t think guys put a lot of thought into a sling, hence no answers.

But I can say that you sir, are in luck! I just happen to over-think every single damn thing that I do, with no possible chance of ever changing. Now that you have been properly warned, my thoughts on slings are as follows:

The only real consideration I put into a sling is that it stays on my shoulder and does not require me to push it back up every 10th step. That is really annoying, I like the wide and rubbery type with plain webstraps, they seem to hold nicely even with a thick winter coat. Aesthetically I like black slings on black guns, OD green slings on camo guns and a nice hand-crafted leather sling on any gun with nice wood.

If I were gay (like many on here are, shhhhhhhhhh. Be very careful of your assocations here on TAF, my friend!), my sling would be rainbow colored to match the fuscia/muave laminate stock I would surely have custom made.

(Jesus H. Christ I must be really, really bored tonight)
