New Condor Owner!
I just bought my first PCP airgun and it’s an Airforce Condor. It should arrive in a couple of days and I cannot wait to try it out. I bought it used but in excellent condition. It’s a Condor with a 24″, .22 caliber barrel but the tank/valve is the regular one found on the Talon. I wanted it as accurate and also as efficient as possible but with more power than a Talon. This was my logic for buying the standard tank. I was first interested in the Talon SS because it was supposed to be quieter but decided that the Condor would better suit me for shooting critters from a variety of distances. The barrel has baffles on the end of it to reduce the noise but it is also non-removable from the tip of the barrel (bummer). I would probably never remove it anyway except when cleaning the barrel or when crap gets inside the barrel. I’m hoping it’s as quiet as a Talon SS with the power of a Condor. I’ll post pictures as soon as it arrives. What do you guys think of the standard tank on the Condor vs. the hi-flow? More shots? Better consistency/accuracy?
I am new to all of this so please excuse my ignorance. 😀 I play paintball, shoot and own several rifles including my newest which is a Savage Arms 17HMR (So much fun!!!) but I have only shot the spring type of airgun. I currently own a RWS 48 in .22 caliber. I look forward to all the future discussions with you guys.

Welcome to the forum Varminter! Your setup is fine. Shoot it a lot to learn the hold-over/under at various distances and enjoy it.
I too was a “Springer” man and love Diana rifles, but the Condor will have you hooked badly to airguns if you ‘re not already. It will be more accurate than your Diana 48 and with almost no recoil, how can you go wrong? Springers need to be tuned really well to get the most out of them and enjoy them more. Well tuned Springers can actually be a real joy to shoot and come very close to a Talon/Condor’s groups out to 35yds or so, but at 40, 50yds and beyond they cannot compete with PCP’s in accuracy and of course power. Talon/Condors are great out of the box. Don’t need to do much to them. Just use the right pellets like others said (Kodiaks & JSB Predators or heavy 28gr Eun Jin’s) and you ‘ll be reaching for that baby every time 😀

I put a Condor tank on my TSS and the velocity with any of the available factory calibers was too high to get good accuracy.
I did find a good use for my Condor tank when I bought a .25 caliber barrel that’s a perfect marriage right there.
You did good in getting the standard Talon bottle ! 😀
Do not change a thing.
With that setup your gun is done and you have enought power to shot game from100 plus yards easy, using JSB’s and Kodiak. If you want even more power for huting just use the Eun Jins. They have pretty good accuracy and carry even a bigger impact.
The first thing i would fdo is shoot it a lot and get to know it’s cababilities.

The Condor was my first PCP purchase. It’s been my only. I’ve had many MSPs, CO2s and a few spring guns in the past. I recently bought a 97LK thinking I needed a high quality springer… and so far, just am not enjoying it as much as I have my Sheridans and the Condor. Me thinks me should sell the 97 and get a decent place to put all those guns… hmmm.
