Q:

New condor SS …… Inop

She came in early!!, mounted a scope on it, pumped it up to 2500psi, put a pellet in it, released the safety and nothing……. Didn’t even hardly push the pellet, so I shot it 3 times before the pellet popped out!! Wth!?

So I did a inspection, took the spin lock tank off ( pita), and found the top hat flopping in the wind, called PA and I got voice mail I need to know the proper depth to secure the top hat… Any help would be great

Haven’t got far down the road of adjusting anything yet myself. At this time I’m still finding out where I’m at – and that means I need to drag out the Chrono, etc. I’ve slowed a little, waiting on my Scuba fill adapter to show up (Thurs) – this hand pump is for the birds! Need that baseline data to get ‘er dialed in whether you want I’ve got 25 good shots 3000 to 2000, so it sounds reasonable.

Thanks Gene, I guessed at it and zeroed it at 25 yards for now, I’ll take it to 45 tomorrow, dime size groups! This thing is incredible! I been in break barrels for 2 years and holy smokes, this gun is sweet, I got the power setting as low as it gets, it seems like it’s using a lot of air. 2700 to 2000 psi in about 15-20 shots, does the top hat need tuning….? Thanks for your help Gene

Mine’s sitting almost exactly 0.120″ from bottom of the top hat to the top of the brass on the valve. It’s a pretty simple arrangement, so I’d expect anything in that neighborhood to work, after that it’s all about optimizing…
