Thanx 80. I here ya man. Just like my 10/22. A few parts here and there then DING, your at 1 grand and it doesnt even seem like you bought that many parts..lol.

Trust me though, not a day goes by that i don’t think to myself…..CUT THE 4″ OFF….CUT THE 4″ OFF…..but that damned TIM at MAC1 talked me out of it the first time……ARRRRGHHHH on his common gun sense. 😆

Good deal Ced. I didn’t realize how much those crosmods parts are…but I do know how quickly “custom things add up” 😡 Good luck with it and I look forward to the reviews 😉

Need to rig an SKS stock to mine.. oh dremel tool where are you.

LOL!

500 bucks 😯 Who said it was only 500 bucks? Try 700+ for just the CROSMODS parts and shipping.
Another 239.00 even for the Disco from Straight shooters. Another 170+ for the scope and rings. OMG…and the pellets!!!? LOL.

80, remember, this is a new gun. I wanna find the potential of the gun and that will take some time. Most of it will be figured out in the field. I wanna see just how accurate the STOCK barrel can be. Sound doesn’t matter very much here in CALI as i hunt in the desert. That little muzzle pop the gun has is NOTHING in the field…lol. Don’t wanna buy a LW 20″-120 dollar barrel if i don’t have too. This one so far seems accurate as hell but, i haven’t shot it past 20 yards yet but it is giving me some hope. I’ve rubbed JUST A LITTLE magic on this gun and i need further testing.

And yes, if i wanna go super quiet, and the gun proves to be accurate with some lighter pellets like CP’s and JSB exacts, i can get more speed even with the barrel shorter by shooting lighter pellets. I’m known for tuning a gun shooting lighter pellets at the same speed that i shoot the heavier one therefore giving me the same accuracy, the same speed but with the lighter pellet saving on air. I will test and hunt with it for a while then make any necessary changes…….BWAAHHHAAAA….BWAAAHHHAAAA!

So that big shroud is all show and no go, hah 😆

I’d surely sacrifice the 4″ and address TP and the hammer spring to make up for it. Maybe even add a little more stroke by having a custom tube with a pin down location slightly forward of the stock position…I can see it now, it will go from a 500.00 disco to a 700.00 disco over night, but alas it bees that way sometimes, doesn’t it 😀

That is the best looking $500 disco I have seen

LOL. I made a big mistake guys. The barrel is the stock…DUHHHH!!

Gonna tell all very soon. The how and why’s and all.

80, yes, the shrouds fit up to a 24″ barrel. But if you keep the barrel at the stock 24″ length then you cannot get baffles in it. What CROSMODS recommends is cutting the 24″ stock barrel down to 20″ and add their baffle system. The problem with the shorter barrel is that you will loose about 60 FPS when you chop off 4″ of barrel. Its a medium powered gun from the beginning so the idea of loosing that much speed got to me. BUT, if i ever want a shorter barrel, i can simply order a LW barrel or chop mine down then order the baffles and thats it. Oooops, i’ve told too much.

Story coming soon

80,

I don’t think Tofazfo’s awesome new rifle has a “disco” barrel anymore! It looks like he could have bought a couple replacement parts from Crosman and had the new gun built around them…

Great looking gun Ced!

Looks awesome!

Great looking Disco; Tozafou ! 😉

Nice stuff on it !

greetingsss…Guido 😛

So, in essence, it should shoot as good as it did before? Did you see how well it grouped as a discovery? I’m very curious about those Disco barrels. Also, when you order the shrouds are there options for length if one wanted to use a shorter barrel and air tube…?

Come one ROB…get you one…lol. U know you wanna…lol

REV,
The airtube, the pressure gauge and its internal housing, the 3 screws holding down the valve body, just the bolt probe but not the bolt handle, and the hammer. Thats it. I consider this to be the RUGER 10/22 mod. Everything goes but just a few factory necessary parts.

that looks pretty sharp!

Q. How much of that is still “Discovery”?? The airtube, guage, trigger group?

Why do I even look?

I dont need a Discovery.

Amazing… Simply amazing.

Thanx guys.

RC. you got that right. i will go ask them to make one. Thats a good idea
