From the looks of it, it won’t be so pretty when the necessary tri-rail and high rise scope mounts are added.
Unless someone makes a parisscope for it.

I am sure he is also using low mounts that is why the scope is so close to him tank……so ssshooter i am sure you will be very happy and comfortable with that setup to.
The stocks do look very nice.
I tolerate the tank in my face because the gun is a “Take Down Rifle”. If it did not have that feature then there is no way I would put up with that tank in my face.
Being able to have such a powerful gun I can break down into a small package was a huge reason I bought my Talon. When I wanted a full length powerful gun I bought a Career which ergonomics was great and was a multishot as well.
For me it is akin to taking an Ed Gun Bull Pup rifle and adding on a barrel so long the benefits of it being a bull pup is removed.
So I guess to each their own. For those who want a full length single shot rifle with a tank in their face these great looking stocks will fit the bill 😛
Wok’s butt actually helped my sight picture – it wasn’t as difficult to get a cheek weld. I wonder if this new stock is similar.
That is one sharp looking stock. Is it polymer or painted wood?

Well the Stubby Extreme arrived 5 hours ago so I have barely had time to wring out one of my nasty destructive chipmunk’s that chew everything up around my house once I did a quick sight-in. I will be doing some extensive testing because the gun setup is new and publish the results.
For 22 caliber in the LW barrel on my Condor a 5.51 H&N Cuda is tops and that is what got the chipmunk. I have 9 different 22 pellets to test including the heavy Eun Jins 32.4 down to the 14.3 JSBs and Benjamin Discovery’s.
I will be using a CTK gun vise to lock the gun in and full power with the new valve to test. R&L has published the Chrony results with the Stubby Extreme on their web site with different pellets for now. The 32.4 Eun Jins Went 843.3 fps and 51 fpe in 22 cal. The 21.14 Kodiaks went 979 fps for 45 fpe. The BD’s 14.3 went 1065 fps. They also published the 25 cal results which peaked at 57 fpe with the Eun Jins.

Looks very nice! What kind of pellets are you using and at what fps? Also, I’m curious as to what changes about the cheek weld over a stock talon??? Isn’t the bottle in the exact same position?

This may be the coolest gun or airgun setup I have ever owned and I am in the 40 something category at last count(reminds me of the old Remington 221 Fireball that i should never have sold but better). Doug’s stock is incredible. My scope sight picture is perfect and the feel (ergonomic) as a carbine is amazing. My sight-in group with Kodiaks rivaled my Condor at 32 yards. One fat hole for a 3 shot group. It drew first blood four hours after it arrived (a chipmunk at 31 yds). I put my spare 6-24x Tasco on it until I get a Hawke for it. I am in awe.

This is just my not so humble opinion, and opinions are like assholes, everybody has one.
Well now, having preficed this post with that disclaimer, I think it is truely a neat looking little gun, that perhaps should have been still born.
Many of us here have tried the Condor with the 12 inch barrel and walked away from it shaking our heads, it was handy, loud and really not that effecient when it comes to accuracy and shot count. To me you have the same issues plus added weight.
When it comes to the cheek weld/scope issue, there is only one answer to that clumsy tank issue, and that is the canted ETAC that Jim Gaska makes, either in the long or short version. Now I am not talking about the ETACREG, but the first ETACs that Jim made and still does. The canted ETAC is angled away from your face, I use medium rings on one of mine and it is still more comfortable than the straight stock was.
The short ETAC version suffers from not being able to take the gun down, for it’s gauge and perhaps nipple will not clear the rail. Not a big deal for me as far as takedown, but workng on the valve means you have to partialy disassemble the trigger/grip assembly to remove the tank.
I solved that by drilling and tapping the sides of the frame to replace the lower collar retaining screws with ones from the side. That allows me to remove the tank with the collar with the removal of two 10/32 grub screws.
The longer ETAC gives additional length, but you can unscrew the tank and is much more livable for me.
But both, cure the eating the tank syndrome, give a better scope alingment and let you fill with the bottle on the gun and gives you a gauge.
I have the WOK guard, and to me it is another of the must have mods. It adds rigidity to the platform and replaces a piss poor attempt at a pistol grip.
I do not have a WOK butt, it is not that I do not like the WOK butt, but after using the canted ETAC, I did not need the WOK butt, but those who do have them love them, having either the ETAC or the WOK butt means you do not have to have expensive surgery to have your fucking cheekbone removed to shoot this abortion of a designed AF Rifle.
But folks, this is America, and if this gun from Randy at RL, one of the good guys in this business, trips your trigger so much the better.
What needs to happen for this stock design to survive history, again in my opinion, is to combine it with the canted ETAC and make it as light as possible.
I mean really guys, it is like your best friend comes to you and says,”Have you seen my new girlfriend, she is short and heavy but she is so loud and eats like a crocodile?” 😛 What the fuck do you say to the poor guy?
