I want to get a slightly stronger hammer spring so the valve wont lock up on 3000 psi. It sucks!

As far as a tube extension, Mermot was going to make one eventually. Or you could get the Mrod tube or get a Disco tube and modify it to accept the marauder breach I would assume.

I want to get a Marauder 24″ barrel for my Prod same barrel. You’d just need to get the Marauder shroud too to keep things quiet.

Awesome gun either way.

The results with the 15gr pellets are great. The question is how many shots does it get, and how bad is the psi drop per shot.

Here’s why I ask. I am modifying my P-rod and today put in a GMAC spring which I ordered last Spring. Here’s the spring:

http://www.gmaccustomparts.com/epages/BT3197.sf/sec452f7b6e97/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT3197/Products/CPHS1

It was inexpensive and arrived really fast.

After I installed the spring, which took all of five minutes, I removed the breech and drilled out the OEM transfer port to .132 inch. Then I fired up my chrony and loaded it up with JSB Diablo Exacts, 18.1gr pellets.

The chrony showed my first shot at 780 fps!!! My followup shots stayed in the mid to mid-low 700 fps for the next seven rounds. The next eight rounds dropped my psi quickly to 1000 from a 2800 fill, and my fps went to 600 fps for the 16th shot. So that is 24.4 fpe on the first shot and 14.4 fpe on the last. I didn’t use a target, so I have no idea of the poi drop. I need to get the valve tamed down a touch so my air use is more efficient.

Tomorrow I’m going to experiment with the hammer throw and see if I can get a shorter valve opening, and use less air. Any suggestiongs from you perverts would be appreciated. That spring is so strong I only have about 4 full turns on hammer load adjustment.

Does anyone know someone who makes P-rod air tube extensions? “Swift” was thinking about it on another forum, but I haven’t heard anything.

Wait till you jokers see the bullpup stock I’ve got drying for this pup! You will collectively evacuate your bowels!

Oh, I was thinking that he started out with an MROD rifle trigger group…and went to a 22xx trigger, my bad. I have no experience with the PROD and their modified trigger group. Thanks.

Mrod pistols come with modified 22xx trigger groups. They are just as nice as the rifle triggers.

Dude, steve.. ask Mike how much a 24″ .22 LW barrel is for my Prod! I already dropped like $400 dollars in accessories for my next rifle!

SWFA 20×42
BKL 30MM Rings
HW Stud adapter
HW FX tank adapter
Harris Bipod 6-9BR
Fill Adapter
That’s about it.

Next month I’ll get the HW for sure. Then we’ll do some 200 yard shooting ;p

And I discovered that my Prod loves Crosman Premiers the ones out of the cardboard box.

I wonder if someone will create a trigger frame (like the 22xx frames) that merely surrounds the MROD trigger group thereby still allowing the tactical look of the 22xx platform???? The reason why I wonder this is the weakest link in any of these tactical 22xx/mrod carbines is the trigger. The MROD trigger is much better than any 22xx trigger out there…is it not?

Very nice, I like the look of the foregrip/”heat shield”! 😉

Sweet!

Looks really nice, excellent work :thumb:
