New CZ barrel on 22 shorty
Just installed a CZ barrel on my 22 Mutant shorty,
It was so easy, That I even did it with no screw ups,
The Mutant is an easy gun to work on and I am living proof, :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
I had a Linstone barrel on it , And I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with the CZ barrels,
I know the Linstone really liked the polymags 16gr , Even the cheap 14.3 g Piranha hollow points, I thought they were Crossman’s but I do not see the name on the tin?
Any way I did not get a chance to try it out, The CZ barrel, Dam time change,
and my photo bucket is on the blink.
Maybe tomorrow I will shot some 400 yard shots for you sharp shooters ,
Maybe the side of a barn at that distance, :biggrinn: :biggrinn: :biggrinn:
Tony got me the barrel, It was not cheap, Nothing is in the PCP world, It came wrapped very well and SUPER fast,

Ok Mike….barrels! Frankly, I don’t speak “Metric” either, and had to Google it to come up with a smart ass response.
Who is “knibbs” and how do we get in touch with him? Is he in the U.S.?

sounds like a person just needs too get a new longer barrel, bushing and a barrel nut, use your own baffels shroud tube, & your done.

They did not change the shroud itself.
Every shorty out there has the same shroud tube
The difference being the longer barrel sits .inside the shroud where as the ldc is attached to the end of the shorter barrel.
Most parts are the same in the shroud…
Baffles front cap and tube are identical… they replaced the adapter with a bushing and a barrel nut… so now it is more a shroud than a ldc
I did not even ask about the new longer barrel, So I am not sure Tony can get one,
I guess it would not hurt to just ask, Lot of money for just a few more inches , settle down Hoot we are talking barrels here, :whistle:
I really thought about it , but my extra FPS is going to come from the 25 Mutant.
My ruler says MM 1234567891011121314151617 So I just thought it was MM,
So I just stuck the ruler beside it again and I am going to say six inches on the shroud, Calm down Hoot we are still talking barrels and shrouds.

Of a new longer barrel, or the old shorter barrel.

Uncle Mike means “cm”, not “mm”.
Mike…put down the beer can and try again. Your shroud is not .5″ long! Your are confusing your penis size with the shroud…and I suspect you handle both on a regular basis….although one is straight, and hard as a rock, while the other one resembles a limp, worn out, discolored enema tube.
No insult intended, of course, mine doesn’t work so well anymore either…dang thing keeps bruising my kneecap when I run! I generally just strap it down with a couple of bungee cord.

My shroud is 6 1/8″ long.
My shroud measures 15 MM , I am not sure what the new longer barrel shrouds measure, I would like to know,
Maybe some one with a new Mutant will post up and the big question will be answered,
I was going to take pictures of both barrels and the install, But my Photo Bucket has been acting up .
The CZ barrel Tony sent me was very clean and looked like a work or art, Very nice.
Funny I got a little blow back shooting the gun , and thought dam got to replace the Barrel oring, But the blow back stopped after about five shots.

How long is the shroud on the short barrel?

The only thing a 14″ barrel gives you is about 15 fps per inch for those extra three inches…or a gain of 45 fp. Accuracy would not be affected!

Got the regular short, The long would take a little to much engineering for an all thumbs guy like me,
