Q:

New dress for my colibri.

I’ve had my colibri for a few months now and to me Other than the stock I just can’t fault this gun. Yeah it’s functional but been thinking it really does deserve a new dress
Been thinking of different ways to go about it.
This is what I came up with.

Below is just a cardboard cut out laying on top of the colibri.
This was the shape I was hoping to get away with.

First coat of true oil

All finished.

very happy with the results.

All the best

Will do. :winkn:

Thanks for the comments chaps.
I’m sorry Steelgunner but as much as I love stock building I just don’t have time.
It’s been 2 years since I made my last one which was for my cricket.

Looks good, wish I had that kind of tools and skill,
Mike

Very beautiful, the hands of a craftsman for sure. Interesting wood, I’ve seen lots of wood peckers and pecker woods but never Pepper Wood!!

Beautiful look and wood!!

Ash, you have inspired me….

I have some other pressing projects that I have to tend to, but I’ve been planning a Colibri/wood project like this for a while.

Once again, nice work!!!

WOW very nice work indeed! I love how it looks kinda like the edgun. What would it take to talk you into making me one??

Thanks.

Sorry about the cock up with the picks.
I’ll sort them out when I have more time.

I’ll take plenty of picks out in the open when finished

Wow! awesome. Please post pics of finished and fitted. You really should consider remove that LDC from the gun.
