New girl member and question: Is a TT Condor worth the wait?

I’m new here and I wanted to introduce myself. I’ve read about eightly percent of the posts in this section and I’m impressed with the knowledge and personalities I ‘ve seen here. I’m not new to rifles, but I’ve never owned, much less fired an air gun. It’s nice to share in your community since I have my heart set on a Condor. I couldn’t ask for a better bunch of guys.
I have a big question. Is the all out Talon Tunes Condor worth the wait? I’ve been waiting for a friend to get one here in Colorado, but he has been waiting for his TT since late April đ . He sold me on one about a year ago and frankly, I should have ordered one from Tony. I thought I would try my friend’s out first. Now I’m getting impatient; a fault of mine, I know. My friend is a former DoD contract sniper and he has too much patience, if you ask me. I suppose it’s a job skill.
Much as I love Tony’s work, are there other craftsmen out there who do as good a job on suppressing and refining the Condor? Or I thought I would buy a suppressor – Tony’s or the one Airhog has – and refine the gun myself. I have experience building my own AR-15’s, so I might make the attempt. I’m not looking with much favor on a over seven month wait time if I go with the TT.
Just wanted to know what you guys think.

Oooooor, buy a Condor, perhaps a used on on the for sale section, and a full boogie one from TT, or Dyotat.
Whe you get your new “Custom” Condor, you will be well familiar with the plat form.
Selling the one you don’t want to keep is easy and quick! đ

What do you want done? Do you want power or a lot of shots? I can build you a complete .25 of modify yours.
I am new here and have only had a talon ss for a month or so. But i think the guns stand on their own with out mods, I am very happy with the rifle the way it is. It makes plenty of power for what I want, is accurate and the trigger is fine. I did order an 18″ barrel, the reason I ordered the barrel is so I can turn the power wheel down for the same power and more shots per fill.
What I am getting around to is, why not order the rifle and get to know it and then decide if it needs modding.

Cosmicray, big time thanks for the info on another source for a modified rifle. Iâll check what they can do.
Doing the mods myself would put a big smile on my face, but I also see a great deal of value in having a craftsman do it. My sniper friend holds Tony in high regard, so I might order from TT and bite the bullet on the wait. Iâm hoping that some of you can help in my decision about whether I should wait or not.
A few years ago, when I was a teenager, I ordered a custom mountain bike because of the craftsmanâs reputation. I waited for almost a year and the guy was such a prima donna, I secretly wanted to break his neck a few times. I held my tongue and waited. In the end , I wasnât entirely satisfied and had to improve it. I built my next bike from the frame up and it was way better than âMr. Artisteâs creationâ for the same price. Thankfully, from what I have read here, Tony isnât like that.
I suppose I should just order one and occupy my time knitting or shooting. My friend just got in a Daniel Defense M4v7 6.8 SPC rifle. Maybe I can ask him to lend it to me for a few months. After all, it needs to be broken in, doesnât it?

Definitely do the upgrades yourself if you like to tweak and adjust. It’s a rewarding platform…. I’m in the process of upgrading the gun to simulate an M4 for more trigger time.

Welcome Adrienne, nice to have a lady on board. My 2c would be to order your Condor from Pyramid Air(all the Condors in South Africa are supplied by them) and then order the add-ons and do it yourself.
Its a simple rifle to work on and once you understand the workings, the sky’s the limit. I sort out most of the new rifles purchased here-mainly with advice via email.
I have yet to encounter a problem I couldn’t sort out, the guys on TAG are great and are always willing to help. You’ll learn a lot here.
Tony is great but I didn’t want to wait so R&L airguns is where i bought my .25 condor.. Randy installed the super sear to make the trigger great.. Can’t go wrong withe the condor.. Buy stock and add mods yourself or wait for a custom build.. Some parts a easy to install .. I have TT shroud on mine and its hushes the gun nicely.. Shot a 1/2″ 10 shot string at 75 yards this weekend and happy with that..
One option would be to order the gun from Pyramid Air and order the upgrades as parts from Tony and WalkonKing at the same time. It might cost you a little more but as you add the upgrades you will learn about the gun and how it works and have a greater appreciation for Tony and WalkonKing’s work. It will also give you more time to play with the new toy.

Dyotat100 is the way to go. He will build it from the ground up. I dont think u can find one better. Built with very close tolerances so u have less accuracy problems. Wait is a quarter of the time as the rest. Prices aint bad either
