New Glass for my .25cal Matador Shorty!!!
Finally decided to get my first FFP scope and crown my Matador Shorty .25. It’s the Athalon Argos BTR 6-24×50 ATMR reticle. Also just received a couple of spare mags from KS over at Edgun West and am currently waiting on an Offset Moderator and black soft touch stock from KS. Thanks again Bryan!!! Your the perfect guy for the EdGun U.S market.

Dear Shelled, Six Legged Insect…..
Thats a very nice scope, but seems to have a busy reticle, not to my personal liking, but perhaps of use to more sophisticated shooters!
Those types of carefully calibrated reticle markings would seem to benefit bench rest marksmen, the long distance shooters, and technically minded hunters who would actually use the markings to compensate for wind, distance, etc…
I am using a low powered variable scope, and put a small red dot unit on top of the scope. I sighted the red dot for targets at close range, perhaps 15 to 25 yards. The scope is for targets at a distance greater than 25 yards. In this way I can rapidly acquire a target, near or far, and get off a quick, accurate shot.
If I were intelligent I’d use the “smart scope” approach, and use all those reticle markings to calculate where my aim point should be. However, my game is fast on the foot and seldom sits still for long, so I opt for the quickest method to get the shot off before the target takes off.

Nice, it’s certainly an airgun friendly reticle
Took this picture of the illuminated reticle which I thought was cool. 
I’ll post more when I have a chance for more testing I’m working right now and it’s been raining a lot but it’s lighter than my Aeon and the glass is really clear even at max zoom. I’ll keep you guys updated.

Cool, so how do you like it? Is it heavy? And how is the reticle at max / min magnification?
