Oh Man i dont mind buying it if its still there but i highly doubt it & the way things are going with your order it might not even get to me in another 6 month if it is there & i pay for it.

We need some kind of update from Ed on the current situtation, dont you guys agree ?!

Lets hope it works out cause there is so much demand for the Edguns.

This is what ED wrote to me on May 31st:

“I have for you ready to be sent:

1. Matador R3 № 2844, standard, 5.5 (paid)
2. Matador R3 № 2855, standard, 5.5 (paid)
3. Matador R3 № 2755, длиный, 6.35 (unpaid)
4. Matador R3 № 2688, standard, 5.5 (unpaid)
5. Veles № 0572, 5.5 (unpaid)

With the best regards

Ed”

I later decided to skip item 3 above due to lack of pellet availability, – and ED then said he had a big demand for the long R3 .25 in the US and that my long .25 R3 no 2755 most likely would be shipped to somebody there…

So presumably no 2755 is underway if not already there….

If that’s the one you’re getting OG, – you owe me one…. 😉

😀

Tedd,

its true JSB doesnt like anything higher than 900+, i did shoot Eun Jins 43grains & also barracuda 31 grains in mine but it didnt last, it broke a valve after about 400 shots & Ed told me that they werent designed from the ground up for these heavy pellets but basically it was a modified .22 design.

i have lots of spare parts & the only diffrence i see between the .22 & .25 is a little bigger air chamber & tranfer port, other wise the rest is the same.

Lets hope these ST barrels shoot well above 900, i want to shoot looooooooong shots & need the speed, lol

Naser

My 25’s number is 2216. I have read here that Ed pulls the fitted breech assemblies out of a box when he builds a gun. I also read that the numbers don’t necessarily correspond exactly to build time. The number is registered to the buyer.

A long time ago, Ed posted here that he was working on a 25 Long Version. Mamcrackin and I both immediately reserved one with Tony. It took over 6 months for mine to get here. I had mine paid for and Jeff just had his reserve paid so, I got mine a few days before Jeff did. Only 2 25 cal Long version arrived in the first shipment.

Not a big deal and I am not bragging, I am just trying to illustrate my point that the breech numbers don’t necessarily correspond to the build time.

AFAIK there were only 2 US 25 long buyers, one in Dubai (Naser) and I just found out about the one in Mexico (Jumetrog).

Again, AFAIK, Ed wasn’t happy with the way the R2.5 25 turned out and didn’t build anymore.

I would really like to know just how many R2.5 .25 cal Matador Long Versions were sold world wide.

Ed set them up to shoot heavy pellets at 900 fps. Unfortunately, the only heavy pellets were the Eun Jins or however they are spelled. They shoot like crap! Ed tried to get the owner of the JSB factory to make heavier pellets so the 25 long would have something to shoot accurately. He didn’t have any luck so far.

Once Jeff and I turned our 25s down to 880-910 fps, they became real shooters with the JSB 25.4 pellets!

Naser tried to get the gun to shoot at the high speeds but, he ended up slowing it down also. JSB like 880-910 fps. Kinda sorry for that Naser! 😆

He said “KIT”!!!

You possibly don’t have to buy a new Edgun to convert. Just an observation and I might be wrong, but I don’t think so.

Hoot 😯

It is a kit Hoot from the video he has on youtube it is a replacement breech and bolt assembly looked to be very nice I will look to see if I can find his video and post it here for you!

took me a while to find it, if you find any of his vidoes I just realized all you have to find is all of his videos, he list several and is above his post just clikc on all his videos think he has 47 as of now! I understood everything he said to Hoot 😯

quote Ed:

You have to wait until we are ready to show the multy-shot KIT. We are working on it, I expect it will be more interested them just a magazine.

Ed

Thanks Ed I missed you post, I did see a short video you had of it looks nice, I know when they are available they will be very nice, just make them afordable 😯

Jumetrog, Are you in the US. AFAIK, Tony only had 2 US buyers for the 25 Long Version.

Hi Tedd

I got my .25 Long Matador from Tony in the US, I imported to Mexico. So you maybe I’m the only one with one in Mexico.

I will try not to hijack this thread any more but, a couple of guys have asked for pics of my semi finished FX Royalle 22 cal bulpup. Here is a link to my Photobucket site. I need to do some more finish sanding, fill some holes, paint the stock, have the aluminum pieces coated and sell it.

I have way too much stuff that really needs to get done but, my 25 is shooting so good that I spend all of my free time shooting stuff with it! I am really going to get behind when/if my 25 cal R3 Long Version gets here!

Hi Tedd and Nacer

I got my Matador from Tony maybe it´s the number three, just after yours and mamcracking!

quote oldgoat:

Hey Nasser, I called AOA this morning, asking about the .25 cal ST barrels. Is that Deja Vu or what?

The .25 cal blanks are 24″ long, .470″/14.5 mm dia and are threaded 1/2″ male UNF for a shroud. They sell for $220 plus shipping.

I think that I will order one this Friday. I want to see about the hype also. I have a BSA barrel on my 25 right now and it is a real shooter! I don’t see how the FX ST could shoot any better and I’ll be suprised if it shoots as well. I have some pics of the FX bulpup at home, I will post them.

Did you buy your 25 from Mamcrackin? He had the only other 25 that made it to the US, IIRC.

Let me know if you want the FX barrel.

Backyard, I couldn’t sell my 22. Hard to explain, it just wouldn’t be right!

[/list]

No OG, I ordered directly from Tony & it took two month, so I’m guessing there are more in the US.

I defiantly would like one of these ST barrels too, I’m. Ot sure though if the Ed uses 1/2 UNF, can’t remember, I got to check, also my breech is threaded so that bloody barrel stops moving 🙂

But all good I can machine it to fit here.

I still believe that BSA makes the best barrels but I don’t mind to try, I am all game for new tech. Let’s see what’s the hype is all about.

Let’s take this to pm.

Thanx

Darn, I tried 🙂 . And lol hoot recycle bin haha I laughed hard at that one. And oldgoat Im intrested in the royale bullpup to what cal is it? Thanks
