New here!
Hey folks. Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Edward. I am a 29 year old father of two Girls 7 and 3. I just ended a 10 year career as a Network security technician (computer networks) in the United States Air Force. now that i am a Sillyvillian I am a Ford Mechanic and going to school full time in the ASSET program to become 100% ford certified. I started Airguns with a Daisy 880 pumper as a kid. Then i graduated with a Gamo Big cat when i joined the USAF back in 2004. that set my Airgun love off. I loved that gun and literally shot it so much, it started falling apart. went through multiple springs and seals, probably well over 100K Crosman premier hollow points. When the pivot started getting sloppy, i retired her. I them moved on to a Gamo CFX tuned, a Benjamin Titan GP, a Benjamin Trail XL, Benjamin Pumpers, probably half a dozen other Gamo springers. As of today, i own 3 air rifles. A 2008 year Gamo Hunter Sport with a crosman Nitro piston conversion. its a 17 FPE .177 monster. I also have a 1960’s Benjamin 347 “Ben Franklin” .177 caliber which still shoots as sweet today as the day she was made and i have my Condor. I have a deep passion and love for AirForce Condor’s. Since there debut back in 2004 give or take, i have been in love with them. I was finally in 2014 able to afford a .25 caliber Condor SS. Since i got it i have learned it inside and out. Spoke with some insanely educated people on these rifles across many forums. I have built my rifle from a 50 FPE stock gun to a 107 FPE monster. I have LOTS of TalonTunes parts on it and hope to keep modding it. I live in Beaver Falls PA which is Western PA and about 40 minutes north west of Pittsburgh. My rifle is as follows.
.25 caliber Condor SS (2014 model year).
24″ Talon tunes hand lapped AF barrel
Quick Change top hat
TT heavy hammer with anti bounce mod
RL shroud (yes i know… TT was out of stock and i needed something to hush the bark)
AirForce Tri rail
UTG rings
Leapers Accushot SWAT 4-16×56 Side wheel scope with 36 useless colors.
as far as Ammo. I shoot 99% HN Baracudas and Kodiak match. i do have some JSB’s but really don’t touch them much. I have used EunJins to zero use other than missing stuff. I have shot Jerry’s slugs 7 rings, which shoot great at 20 yards, but opened up real bad past 30. I have tried some things as of recent (lubing with whiscombe honey which has given me very very very good results), and am getting very consistant numbers, and want to further mess with them.
My rifles setup. With the above mods, i have the large restrictor inserted into the top hat. so i guess you could call that Medium setting? i have the power wheel roughly on the 7 line, and the wheel setting is 0. so 7-0. again roughly medium power. the heavy hammer smacks with some authority, but its nice. I am getting 30 full power shots at 915 AVG FPS, with 29 FPS Extreme spread. 900-929 over 30 shots. if i open it up to 40 shots i get 878-929, for a total of 51 FPS extreme spread and 907 AVG velocity. If i shoot the 71.9 grain Jerry’s 7 ring slugs, i get 722 FPS, for 83 or so FPE. i have played with the 18″ barrel and SS soundloc baffles, and i really like the short light gun. however the consistancy and shot count i get with the 24″ barrel keeps it attached to the rifle. Here in PA you cannot legally Hunt with an airgun. However i do have a family farm, and lots of critters. What happens on my property stays on my property. they can eat it!
Here is a picture of my baby, which pretty much looks like just about every other one… haha I hope you enjoyed my post!

when i first tried the 7 ring slugs… they were the “black mamba’s” from TalonTunes. they shot decent at 20 yds, but past 20, really opened up. shotgun pattern at 40 yds. Took them shooting today and printed a relatively tight group at 20 yds, off a very shaky Rest and not taking my time. i am pretty happy with the current looks of them. will let you all know more.
