Q:

New here!

After hours and hours of research and deciding on more guns than I like to admit I have made a full circle and wound up deciding on a Talon.

This will be my first pcp and the first gun I wanted. I just recently had decided on a Sumatra .25 and I still love the way that gun looks and performs (per posts/reviews).

I will be hunting rabbits (occasional 100 yd shots), and small to med sized hogs (30 to 50 yds?).

It was hard to let go of a repeater for a single shot (although I do prefer single shots overall in guns), but I feel I may have a better long term reliability relationship with the Talon as opposed to the Sumatra’s lever action mechanics (which are slightly under par to the outside quality).

I’m in the process of selling a pistol to get the money for a Talon, so hopefully within the next month it will happen.

I’m also waiting on a reply back from Talon Tunes for a gun quote so I can be ready to go when the time comes, I like having all the details worked out ahead of time.

Great forum everyone, I’m anxious to get started with all of you.

rick can you make 2 more posts real quick i want to make sure the new user changes like it should

WOK gard is an option too. Inside 50 yds, I don’t see it being a problem.

Hey knife,

I posted in another area but since you’re here I’ll ask it again.

Is there a good cure for the flex issue or is it something a condor owner has to learn to handle.

Rick, it can be a fun road!

i cant argue with having Tony tune your gun that is the easiest way to go but to me digging into the gun is half the fun then tuning the gun is the other half the fun then shooting and getting some kills is just extra fun. 😈 😈 😈 :4:

Hey Pan,

I’ve started looking at your vids, nice work keep it up 🙂

I’m mechanically inclined, just short on time and I wasn’t sure if digging into a gun was going to require me to be staring at it torn apart while I learn about it instead of out shooting it 🙂

Where is the line drawn (for accuracy, performance, etc….) between just adding parts and a tune job done by someone else, can adding parts and then just hand polishing the metal suffice.

are you the tinkering type if so you could buy the gun from PA and buy the parts from tony and install them yourself i have videos on almost all his AF items

Well, good and bad.

I’m still learning but I have made at least one decision for a condor.25
Thanks for the continued help everyone.

Bad news is my pistol didn’t sell so I’ll have to lower the price and try again.

Tony did get in touch and when I have my money I’ll spend some time with him finding out the details.

Welcome!

Tony will look after you. You’ll be very happy with his customer service and quality product.

Hey Pan,

I guess at this point I’m still unlearned about this line of ag’s. I used Talon as a generic term, I should be using AF I guess since I haven’t picked one out yet.

I put what I was wanting in a gun in the email I sent to Talon Tunes and was going to see what they suggested. How long does it usually take them to respond. The Talon Tunes sight is a little hard to get information from.
Are they the only ones that tune these guns?

I’m going to start a post about ideas on which gun to get.
