New, improved, just like DAZ!
Finally sussed how to do a taper. I’m now getting around 1030fps with 10mm less spacer (20mm fitted), which is a vast improvement. That’s having changed from a 5mm aperture with 4mm of rod to 5.45mm aperture with 4mm of rod. Doesn’t sound like much difference, but that gives a vacuum force of 11.18 instead of 7.04. So shorter duration but more air. It’s interesting how these variables stack up…
30mm of spacer.
2800psi.
5mm aperture + 4mm rod = 7.04v = 930fps
5mm aperture + 3mm rod = 12.54v = 1000fps
5.45mm aperture + 4mm rod = 11.18v = 1100fps
It’s a fine balancing-act of give & take.
