New muzzle break for the Haley 257 Scandalous

I changed out the muzzle break I had on the Haley today with this OPS INC break..

I bought this one from Brownells and it seems to work better than the one I had. Cost is $115.00 plus freight.

It is a bit smaller in size and is a 30 caliber break. I screwed it on to see where I would have to lock tight it, they never seem to time right with the threads, and reefing it on very tight put it in the exact position I wanted.

I does make it recoil lighter, but then I never really considered air guns to be hard recoilers.

What it does is make it a lot quieter shooting it thru my sound suppression box because it does a better job of spreading out the air flow. Without a break shooting thru the box is damn loud.

I also do not have the drastic change in impact as the other break had.

The original break was a 223 break that I opened up with a hand drill and did a lousy job of it to boot. 😳

Good thing is I cut the threads off the original one with a dremel cut off tool, turned it down with a drill motor holding it against my grinder and turned it down to .575 for my .565 barrel.
