Q:

new / old mewmber here

I was a member of the old talon owners group about 8 /9 maybe 10 years ago. I moved to a place where I could shoot powder burners in the backyard and put my talon ss in the closet for all that time. I just moved back to the city and now the old talon ss is back to the 1st in line for critter getter. I make more money than I did back then and I thought i needed a Daystate or Air Arms or FX, but I came across this forum, read a few threads and I realize I have a pretty good platform sitting in my lap. Especially when I can still put 5 .22 crossman premiers into a dime at 25 yds without even cleaning the old raptor. Screw Euro. My Bald Eagle is now back in action!!!!

Hey cw, if it’ll make you feel any better you could jump in bed with my x-wife, everybody else did
Shit, I had to, but you’d think they would have more self respect

Haha! I wasn’t making reference to reality, but since you mention it, my ex-wife is just like yours. My Talon is more like an old flame worth rekindling.

Catch up on reading about the .25 and better. The next time you move to the country you won’t need a powder burner.
TalonTunes shrowds are better than butter on bread. And, the One Piece Quick Change Top Hat is a wonderful device that eliminates some problems with the OEM valve stem while easing tuning for heavier pellets.
Oh, while you were gone, the cost of air has not gone up but we compensate by buying some newly developed air compressors.

Welcome back. As others have said there is a wealth of information on here. As you already have an airforce gun, some good knowledge and some dollars in your pocket the sky is the limit really. You could have a new barrel and cal configuration, you could even get a second airforce gun. Have you seen the new Texan? Its going to be really interesting to see what some of the guys on here can do with that. Personally I’d love to see a 25 or 257 version.

Yeah. I thought I was going back to inexpensive trigger pulling. There’s at least $2K worth of stuff on my wish list now. I really am impressed with how the platform has developed and what people have created for mods. It also looks like Anthony266 has been busy. He’ll get some of my money for sure.

Thanks for the welcome. I feel like I’m jumping back in bed with my ex-wife by pulling the Talon back out. Haha.
