New parts on the way!
Well I finally ordered a JDS regulator & talon tunes carbon fiber tank! I’m excited & very nervous at the same times me. I have a condor SS .22, with Maddog stock, talon tunes drop adapter. Hopefully I ordered the right regulated pressure. The gun shoots very well at 2000psi. So that’s what I ordered. My only worry besides the 1.5 in that will hang over the stock is that the pressure will not be correct for the accurracy im striving for. I have the tt top hat. Hopefully I can just fine tune the velocity with the quick change hat. I don’t know if turning on the power wheel will make that much difference?

Well I got myJDS regulator on with new talon tunes carbon fiber tank! Gun shoots great! Small insert in in the 820fps give or take 6fps! Other insert I’m right at 865fps using JSB18.1 gr. Without any insert it is 925fps. I haven’t gotten the chance to go out shoot groups. I’m hoping that one of these options in velocity will produce awesome groups. I’m very nervous don’t want to be let down.
Got my 1200psi JDS regulator on Tuesday, more for shot count then power. Will have to dust off the chronograph next week and get it installed tomorrow! Will start a new thread for documentation.
With a 18 in barrel, 2k psi reg, i got the 18 gr jsb going 866 avg. Here is the link to my thread. It is a talondor, talon frame condor guts. Hope it helps. Looks like you should be in the ball park with yours right off the bat.
I also have a JDS Airman regulator on the way AND an Altarous Regulator on the way.

18.14 gr JSB PELLETS 888-900fps. Very accurate. The gun also likes 21gr H&N Barracuda pellets but shoots them at a different psi.
Lots of trial and error is correct but its a ton of fun. What is the FPE you are looking for?
If you do a search here you should be able to dig up my thread and several of Dyotat’s about building reg’d guns that may help shorten the trial and error process.
THANK YOU! That clears it up! My plenum would be the Talon Tunes tank adapter. So that’s a pretty substantial volume of air I would think. Hopefully 2000 regulated psi is not to much. Maybe I should have went 1800. We will see when I get it installed & chronographed. I really appreciate your info! Thank you. I’m kind of new at this, I know there is a lot of trial & error.
Ive run 2 jds reg set ups on my guns. Run the valve wide open and the power wheel at 0/0. With a 2000 psi reg thats all the pressure you need to over come. The thing with regs its all about plenum size between the reg and the valve. The smaller the chamber the higher the pressure needed to get velocity. The larger the chamber volume the less pressure you need. Regs can be fun. If you already have the reg adaptor and want to change this i have regs ready to go at a great price. Ones at 2300 and the other is at ,2000. Best of ljck on your bhild.

Just got my Altaros regulator today! Will set it up on my spare Talon tank. Lots of small parts in the bag, so will have to stop and watch a few videos before the install!
Spoke to soon! Just got my AF extrusion and plastic check riser/butt-stock from Chin-wa.
Also got my third lens for Canon SL1!!! Guess I better start reading those library books on exposure!!! LOL!
I have to find a way to work less then 20 hours a week! LOL!
