Q:

New PCP rifle – Cheap

Here is the brand new QB-78 Gold PCP rifle from Tech Force. Don’t know what to call it, maybe shit ! It is advertised at 1000fps in 22cal. Fill is at 3000psi. It came with open sights, they were nice…I may put them back on. Here is the quick rundown…..no strings yet.

Topped with a big Zos and added the bipod mount.
Has a foster male to fill, a positive. No cap to protect it, a negative
No shroud, it’s loud.
11mm rail
Gold trigger feels like a bunch of springs when pulling it.
Safety is the worst I ever seen, even on a Red ryder
Wood looks decent, shoulders easy, feels good.
Barrel – no crown, looks cheap.
Don’t know the shot count yet, probably low.
Shot three shots thru my chrony – 680, 682, 685. Advertised for 1000fps. These were 21g Kodiaks
Bolt action, hard to cock.
Instructions say that when the pressure in the tube hits 900psi it will empty out !! No gauge on it to tell what the psi is.

If it shots straight and consistent it may be a good rifle to hunt with and scratch/tear up. Probably put the open sights back on it for that.

The price – $200.00

They have them in 177 and 22 cal.

I have three of the Leapers Swat also, they are better optics than the Zos, but only slightly better. Still, for the money the ZOS is a good deal.

I really like the ZOS scope. IT has everything you need and fair optics too. I have bought 6 of them. Far better than the nikko nighteater.

IMO – for the price – you cannot beat it.

Are the ZOS 10-40s clear @ 40x? Pretty damn cheap price if it is.

Have you looked through a Leapers swat? I have several and they seem
pretty good but I have nothing to compare them too…..

Just a word about the safety, when it is in the loose position (I can’t remember which position) you can punch it out fron the side with the arrow on it

i had the same problem with my dicovery.
but i grinded the safety so that in one position it was narrow enough to go through the stock. the safety still worked well, even though nothing sticked outside in one position

quote Tachdriver:

Oh yea….you can remove the take down screw but you can separate the barrel from the stock. The damn safety is in the way.

and not to hijack, but how do you find the optics on that ZOS scope?

I think he meant how does tachdriver find the quality 😆

Interesting… I have often thought about getting one just to see what it
was all about… Thanks for the info and look forward to more….

Maybe Quackenbush now outsourced it to China, who’s know, LOL.

I think one of those in .177… detuned to 10fpe would be a great bird gun…. Definitely a tinker project.

QB, DAQ, what’s the difference? Nice gun, good shooting!

What is QB? Quackenbush? It’s look a like a Quackenbush style 😆

It aint Quackenbush. Its a chinese company – they make a close copy of an old Crosman design CO2 design. This is a new variant of that.
