New Pelican 1750 Case…
… Should be here tomorrow.
I saw over on the YF a guy used an electric knife to cut the foam for his rifle to drop it and it looks good, But before I ruin my foam insert does anyone have any better suggestions?

Dude, that ebayer is a few miles from me. I could have picked on o’ them suckers up.
It has two layers in bottom so I just cut all way through one layer.
Does it have several layers of foam so you can make aa cutout and still have padding underneath?
Or will you have to control depth of your cut?
Even if I was paying for the case… You can get them on eBay for $150 shipped so it it cost about the same as the scope 😛

Pelican recommend using an electric carving knife in their directions so that’s what I’ll use.
Electric knife worked best for me.
I bought one for my dslr camera and lenses and crap.
Mine had foam that was segmented, ya just pluck out what ya need.

Electric knife works great. Just be sure to draw on the opposite side that is going to face out.
They are bitchin cases, waterproof, durable. But pricey !

This one is brilliantly simple!
Sawtime may be right. It may come with segmented foam you can tear out as his did. Even easier!
