Q:

New quarter bore bullpup.

New quarter bore bullpup.

Well it’s been a long road to get a 25. bullpup built, over a year.
I started out with a BSA lonestar 25. I did not like the all steps in cocking the gun.
And I found out it’s too hard to set one as a bullpup.

The best way would be with a electric trigger, & I did not want to go that way with the gun.
So I sold the gun.

Then I heard the early talk of maybe a 25. M-rod.
Well then I had to have one.

I was making the stock one day, & made one wrong cut,then all my hard work 20 hours was gone.
The stock became firewood, lol.

So back at it I went, this time, again almost a wrong cut. But I did not make the cut, & saved the day.
Now on to the finishing of the stock, so I used tung oil for the first time.
I first put on too much, & had to redo the whole thing again.

So after about 60- 70 hours here she is my 25. M-rod bullpup.
And now I get to shoot her, she been apart, during the whole build.

foxback, your teasing me…. πŸ™‚

quote foxback:

If I keep the cost down, then to would be cost effective.

What would you guys think if I shaped & made the stock it set up the trigger, & the scope. And the scope base would have a anodising finish on it.

And all you would have to do is do the final sanding & staining.

I’m not saying at this point I’ll do it, but I thought I would throw this out there to see what you guys have to say about it. πŸ™„ I’ll think about it.

I”ll check in in the morning, I’m going to sleep, it’s been a long day.

I’m in if its fairly reasonable. When do you want me to send you my Mrod?

You can pm me on info.

Hey guys I though I would give a update on how my 25. is shooting.

All my settings are maxed out.

And then I used custom loft cast lead 54 gr mini bullets, I have to load them one at a time they won’t fit in the mag.
They need to be sized better, then they will fly faster.

Here is the shot string with the 54gr:
674=54fpe
675=54fpe
697=58fpe
698=58fpe
708=60fpe
699=58fpe
692=54fpe
708=60fpe
690=57fpe
683=55fpe
693=57fpe
677=54fpe
670=54fpe
648=50fpe
646=50fpe

So that’s 16 shots all in the 50fpe range.

The way I may do this is make one at a time & sell it.
I’m still thinking it over.

synopsys I did fabricate the scope mounts. πŸ˜€

It surely is worth $350.00

Nice work!!!

Did you fabricate the scope mounts too? 😯

I’d be interested too. Wait, this means I would have to buy a .25 MROD

I made a promise to myself that I will not buy any more airguns unless I sell one first. Hopefully it will be a few minutes before/if you decide to sell these…this way I can make the nearly impossible decision on which one to “let go” πŸ˜₯

I would buy it. I can do the finish work. If the cost is reasonable I think you have a heck of a product. I am sure there are many like me that are just waiting for a conversion like this.

Pretty nifty Foxback! I want to make a bullpup out of my Greg Davis tuned Marauder when it gets here. Did you make the scope mounts? I need a set.

Now comes the question: When will you make them for the rest of us and how much??? trigger linkage and stock package. πŸ˜†

I can hear your answer already…”too much time to be cost effective”! πŸ˜₯

i want one 😯

That is very nice. I wish I had the talent to do that to mine. I hate how big and clunky my Marauder is…

Job well done!

Nice !!!

Thanks guys.

The gun was 43 inches long.
After the conversion she is now at little over 30 inches long. I have the trigger set up, with about a 2 pound pull. And the trigger is set up with a traditional bullpup rod linkage.
