new R3M owner, and I forgot to ask 1 ?
I have the R3M\.22. Great gun so far (no range time yet).
My question is this: what are the essential tools and part parts for the Edgun? I assume a more complete o-ring kit (than the 4 o-rings which came with the gun).
I’ve heard about the degasser tool and I’ve seen Ed’s video on how to degas the air cylinder. Some guys have a regulator tester. So, given that I may have to degas the gun for some reason, what special tools or parts (custom, or otherwise) do those reasons need, prior to delving into the Edgun? I figure I might as well be prepared (for something).

I do recall seeing how Ed did that. I’ll review it again just to be clear on how it’s done. I hope I don’t need to do it for a long time though. Still, good stuff to know about.

Have you watched Eds disassembly video yet? You don’t need a degasser tool, just shoot the gun down to 70-80 bar and use a screwdriver to open the valve like Ed shows in the video. Make sure you don’t blow the breech o-ring across the room when degassing the gun.

A degasser is a must as it acts as reg puller as well. Edgun’s o rings last long, still, you don’t know when you will need standby. I would contact Ernest. He may provide both.

Keyser and Strietwise I thank you both for your input. I like the idea of just buying pellets, but who knows when a degassing tool may come in handy? I think I have the components to make my own tool, judging from the information in the like,Strietwise. This version of the Edgun really is a nice execution. Everything seems to just work well, as if expected to. Nice.

Other than o rings you might want to have an extra valve and a degas tool. Tony R. will get you the valve and I posted a while ago on how you can make your own degas tool for under $10. Here is the link.

Congrats on the R3M. You will love it.
Darrel you really just need pellets. The gun can be taken apart with simple tools. If you want to get really crazy tuning your gun you could buy a regulator tester but really they cost almost 300 bucks so you really need to tune a few regulators do make it worth purchasing.
