New Talon SS barrel, 12mm or 18mm?
Hi, I searched the boards but couldn’t find an answer to my question. I’ve had a Talon SS for 6 months, 177cal, 12″ barrel. I bought one of Tony’s 6″ shrouds last fall and it’s worked just great. I want to try shooting 22cal and Tony says the same shroud can still be used with an 18″ barrel. But AirForce makes the 22cal 18″ barrel in both “heavy” (16mm) and “light” (12mm) diameters. First, I would like to know if Tony’s 6″ shroud will work with either the 16mm or the 12mm barrel. And second, does the 16mm barrel add a lot of weight? And does its improved accuracy make it worth the extra weight to carry around?

Yes it will work for 12 and 16 mm barrel.

totem , I have a Talon SS in .22 cal with a 12″ barrel and ordered Tonys’ 9 ” LDC and have since upgraded to a 12″ .25 cal barrel and the 9 ” LDC
will work just fine in the .25 caliber range . If you go over .25 caliber than you will need to get a larger bore LDC . Hope this info helps .
