Q:

New Talon Tune 25 condor Has Arrived!

I have my new Tuned 25 Condor from Tony! This thing is Sweet! Super quiet with the shroud from Tony. It has a 21″ barrel with a Talon valve with a power mod. It is shooting Kodiak’s around 840 FPS with a 2800 PSI fill.

The sound level is about like cracking a beer can open! The sound of the 25 Kodiak Hitting the pellet trap is 10 times louder than the discharge.
I need an air tank now. Pumping is a bitch!

Thanks Tony!

I would love to have a .25! I put a 18″ bbl. with a condor valve in my SS and WOW!! 😯 A .25 has to be just that much better.

I went crazy on scopes and put a Zeiss on her. My powder burners are jealous! But then again, the SS gets shot more in a day that the Power burners do in a year.

It’s unreal how clear and bright this scope is! The Zeiss Scope along with a SureFire C-2 works “Great” at night! I could always put the M-3 on it, but it would probably kill any night vision I had left. 😀

Congrats. I plan to use a Barska Varminter 6-24 X40 AO on mine. I know they are inexpensive but I have compared my freebie Barska binocs to Nikons and my Barska binocs blew the Nikons away.

Thanks, I ordered a new Bushnell Legend 5-15 to go on it. I have been using a Bushnell Banner 4-12 I took off another gun. The Banner is not bad at all. It will be nice to see how they compare.

About time! How long have you been waiting?

Make sure you use a solid backstop! 😆

Backstop!!!
I have a funny one about that subject.

I ordered 10 35″ x 45″ of backstop.
It arrived and I didn’t have time to open it for a few days.
I finally opened a corner to see what it looked like.

It “looked like” plastic, but kevlar looks like material, so, maybe it does work.

I set it up in the far corner of the yard.
Instead on one sheet as recommended, I went ahead and used all 10 at one time for superior stopping power.

When installing it, I noticed the drill bit went through very easy, but, so what, it is made to stop bullets, I know it will stop a pellet- Right?!?!?

To make a long story short, I was in the local gun store and found the same thing priced MUCH higher and at first thought “what a good deal I got:)

Remember, at this point I still have not shot at it.

What it actually is- Target backing plastic…, you know, something to tack a target on.
It is “backing”- NOT a back stop as advertised…

Needless to say, I felt like a “stoop” at that moment, LOL!!!

If you are like me, you will never shoot the .22 barrel again.

I became a believer in .25 the first session.

I sighted in, shot a few groups, then started to go inside. A crow flew overhead and landed in a tree a tad over 70 yards away. I sat down, put the first mil dot on him and THWAP!!!

He was knocked into the next tree.

Since then, anything I hit has been killed very quickly. I only had one squirrel run more than 5 feet after hit thru the lungs. He ran 6 feet, LOL.

Enjoy your new cannon. Lets see some pictures now.

In my case the sweet spot is between 190 and 140 bars, and that is not much of pumping at all. Only 50 bars to pump. 20 full power shots.
Blew a lot of soda cans away at 150+yards.
Have fun!
