hey everyone. Im Ken from florida. Just ordered my Condor SS today from PA, Special thanks to airgunoftulsa for helping me get the right gear. graduating from a break barrel Benjamin .22 XL. it took lots of practice and break in but im pretty accurate up to 80 yards with it, longest plink is 170 yards with milk jugs. Super excited to get into a PCP. thanks for the welcomes in advance!

She came in early!!, mounted a scope on it, pumped it up to 2500psi, put a pellet in it, released the safety and nothing……. Didn’t even hardly push the pellet, so I shot it 3 times before the pellet popped out!! Wth!?
So I did a inspection, took the spin lock tank off ( pita), and found the top hat flopping in the wind, called PA and I got voice mail 😈 I need to know the proper depth to secure the top hat…
All my shooting thus far has been at 12 and 25 yards. I’ll have to measure some groups – I haven’t been keeping quantified records at this point. One note was that my first group from the rifle was pretty mediocre. This may have been the lousy scope that I slapped on just to try things out, or the fact that I couldn’t see through it (low rings), but I think there was also just a few shots to get the barrel conditioned as things seemed to really tighten up after ~10 rounds. I just received some Exact Jumbo Heavy and Exact Jumbo Monster pellets today – haven’t cracked the tins yet.

The H&N ‘cudas shoot great for me. The lighter pellets went super-sonic with a full charge (3000psi) – I was actually disappointed with the noise until I tried the ‘cudas. The ‘cudas also shoot super-accurately. I have only a bout a hundred shots on the gun, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked downrange to try to find that second hole, only to realize that it’s the same as the first hole.
Haven’t dragged out the chrono yet to see what velocity I’m getting, or how it drops off.
I started with a hand pump, and quickly realized that I’d want a tank, so I now have a scuba tank filled and waiting for my fill adapter to arrive. OTOH, a fellow could get pretty fit feeding this air-thirsty beast with a hand pump!

thats awesome to hear! i can’t wait to get it in my hands, have you tried the JSB 18gr yet, thats what i got a abundance of, ill order some cudas soon and metalmags for hunting.i dont have a tank yet so i ordered a hill pump with the condor. i’m a pretty big dude so im hoping the pump isnt do bad to use. i’ll get a tank in the future when i heal from this first purchase. how far have you shot and how was the grouping? thanks

Thanks for the welcomes! I am a Chrysler tech by trade so I like to modify and tinker. I got some 18 gr JSB .22 to start with, thinking of trying HN cud as to. I can’t wait!
Welcome to the forum Ken. I think you’ll find a lot of people here who also graduated from break barrels ( both spring and nitro)! You’re going to enjoy the “world of P.C.P. There are many great people here that can help you out with any concerns or questions you have about your new gun. The Air Force guns are a “tinkerers” dream and if you’re like most of us here, you will eventually want to “hot Rod” it.
Get familiar with how it works and read, read, read!
Since you’re not new to air guns, I’m sure you know that they can be picky about the ammo you put through them. Get yourself an assortment of quality lead and see what it likes.
