Newb here

Hi all, 1 hr away from dropping the hammer on a new talon ss .177 scoped with tank setup. Buying the .22 barrel also. I have wanted an airforce ever since I saw them in the back of american rifleman magazine. I got back into airguns a couple of months ago and I am having a lot of fun. Plan on using the talon for field target in the spring and some 10 meter silo. in local comps.

Congrats – I am sure you will be shooting the crap out of that SS. It offers tons of shots at 18-19 ftlbs with Premiers heavies at 10.5gr and 10.6 Kodiaks in .177. If you dont already have a chronograph -pick one up -it will help you determine the best fill pressure and power wheel setting for max shot count and consistency. Just a friendly note- check the tophat set screws ( the two small allen set screws on the bottle they are .050″ —make sure those are snug —as you see they are tiny and a tiny bit of blue locking compound helps them stay that way). My SS is not modified in any way (other than factory barrel options -18″ .177 and 18″ .20) and I love it– I do have a aftermarket LDC on it for running it with the 18″ barrels — keeps it very backyard friendly. Enjoy it- and the painkillers for your thumbs…. 😀 😆

Yes I did get it from Cobra, those guys are great over there. It is awesome having a shop 5 minutes from my house. I have to take some pictures to post, maybe today.

Post a picture of you gun and we would love to see your set up.

Did you get it from Cobra Airguns?

Thanks for the welcome guys. Picked it up this afternoon. Only put a few rounds through it at the shop but the trigger felt real good and it shot well. They suggested a wokbutt for it so I had them put that on too. Will try and shoot it more tomorrow before the game. Got it in .177 but picked up the .22 barrel also.

Welcome

You are in the right place 😯

Welcome to the madhouse.
